The first Top album I owned. Bought it when it came out just because I loved the cover art. Then I find this track, and fell in love with that outro.
Afterburner was great, but I really feel like the synths fit better on Recycler. They really compliment the guitar work without overpowering it.
I must be older than you b/c this album was released the same year I graduated high school (1990) I've been a ZZ Top fan since 1983. Eliminator (they're biggest selling album to date) was an amazing breakout album for the band and spawned 3 or 4 hits. When I saw the video for Legs on MTV my eyes popped out. They discovered a formula for music videos that works: Hot women, hot rods and cool guitars. (and good music) That formula helped them achieve greater success. I remember seeing them in concert on the Recycler tour in 1990 also.

The guitar on this track is just one of the many great parts that Gibbons lays down on one of the most underrated ZZ Top albums...Gibbons had hellish power combined with a great sense of space between notes..and a beautiful tone...truly one of the guitar greats...this playing along with that massive guitar head blast that is Decision and Collision is among the greatest guitar music ever..Gibbons is a genius of economy and taste...and so lyrical.
