Ziggyy is his own person. He is great for he is and he makes great music - no comparisons - I like ziggy marley because he is ziggy marley not bob marley. Ziggy's music was made to enjoy for today .

The music sounds distinctly West-African to me, I love that. I feel like he's more of a hippie than a rasta but thats all good! He's an amazing musician anyhow :)

of course his sons were influenced by other people rather than soul players like bob was . damian is hip hop orientated . ska is the music of the jamaican revolution . but when jamaicans started killing each other just before the british left, he was preaching rastafari not making jamaican ska

@Balksa in a way the legacy of his father has helped him and hurt him. I don't think the constant comparison is fair. On the other hand, his father's influence is undeniable. Either way, he's a great artist and he DEFIANTLY has his own style that still stands out from his father's. He's a great artist...

anyone who says ziggy isn't as good as his father is just plain insane. they definitely have way different musical styles but i get the same kind of vibes when i listen to either of them, only just in a different way.

Somehow saying Kymani troubles me...I guess I always think of Ziggy, Stephen and Cedella first (children of Rita) and Sharon because she grew up with them. It seems like Rohan, Damien, Kymani and who knows what others popped up later. Like the moms decided to claim Bob as the father. Either way, Ziggy is perceived as the most mainstream.
