Zappa, Frank - Latex Solar Beef Lyrics

[includes a quote from Also sprach Zarathustra (Strauss)]

Mud Shark
Mud Shark

You can hear the steam, baby
You can hear the screamin' steam right now
As the reamer steams up the lake
Reenie weenie up to the snake

Acetylene Nirvana
Hemorrhoids
Talkin' 'bout your hemorrhoids baby
Acetylene Nirvana
Hemorrhoids
Talkin' 'bout your hemorrhoids baby

Steam roller
(Talkin' 'bout your hemorrhoids baby)
Steam roller
Steam roller
(I'm talkin' 'bout your hemorrhoids baby)
Steam roller
Not now girl

Acetylene Nirvana
Hemorrhoids
Talkin' 'bout your hemorrhoids baby
Acetylene Nirvana
Hemorrhoids
Talkin' 'bout your hemorrhoids baby

I need somebody to...
Help me
Help me
Help me
Help me
Help me
Help me
Help me

Hear the steam
See the steam
Hear the steam
Hear the screaming hot black steaming
Iridescent naugahyde python's gleaming
Steam roller

Zappa, Frank Latex Solar Beef Comments
  1. Robert Lee

Saw them on the Toronto stop of this tour. At intermission, the band lounged around on the stage of the venerable Massey Hall and watched the audience. Unreal.

  2. tixximmi1

One of my favorite Frank leads. What a summer 71 was.

  3. Mark Breeland

My introduction to to the Mothers I knew of them in the 60's but I was too young and their looks scared me. Flo & Eddie make this LP. I LOVE hearing the gasps from the crowd on Do You Like My New Car?

  4. tixximmi1

The album I was weaned on back in 71. And Aynsley Dunbar, one of Franks best drummers. Aynsley turned down another group to play eventually play with Zappa. Some say it was a mistake buy history will prove him right. That group was Zeppelin or Yardbirds II.

  5. robert poole

Some of Frank's heaviest riffs on this live album, also wanders into Grand Wazoo halfway thru his solo....

  6. bird10498

11 (12 now) comments in 6 years for one of the greatest sets in Zappa history? How is this possible?

  7. mellotronage

Love the way Frank utilizes the wah-wah/crybaby pedal during his solo on this one...

  8. jams5309

Frank's live performances were the best. You had to be there. Or just enjoy the recording. Fortunately, I was there AND love the recording memento. The Flo and Eddie years were the best.

    bird10498

You were there? Wow. Didn't the crowd go wild when they unexpectedly broke into Happy Together? I know we did in our dorm room the first time we heard the album. Long time passingf.

  9. Conny Johncrete

Aynsley Dunbar and Jim Pons take me to the moon....brilliant rhythm section....

  10. magikkris

thank you . much love. Music is the best.

  11. Yubba Yubbadoo

Kaylan: "All groupies MUST bow..." Volman: "...down! In the sacred presence of the Latex Solar Beef!" The Turtles(Don't fergit Jim Pons)in their 2nd reincarnation were great!/Mothers! (Famous LA DJ of the 60s: "I believe I could take you boys(Mothers Of Invention)& MOLD YOU! I could make you bigger than The Turtles!") Zappa - the pirate/Johnny Otis-styled mustachioed wilde man & his gang of Mutherz were great, man! But 1 group there were that were even more dastardly . . . I speak, of course, of the great Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band . . . and their ensuing masterpiece the "Trout Mask Replica" produced by that man...Zappa! But, of course!

    musicdoc55

Ican't believe they still can't use the Turtles. I saw them last year and the tshirt said Turles- it was a mini 60's festival. They did Peaches En Regalia...

  12. Peter Maxwell

One of the greatest recordings of a rock show ever. Thx for posting

  15. deah munday

These two together are almost magic. Also, it's hard to get that space between them out of there, but this is pretty close.

  16. siys
