Zappa, Frank - Intro To Music For Low Budget Orchestra Lyrics
[Howard:] Ready, Madge?
[FZ:] You have to feel like . . . Art Laboe
[Howard:] Grow, little trees!
[FZ:] It's spring, the time of the year when all things grow and little buds are sprouting off of them . . .

Zappa, Frank Intro To Music For Low Budget Orchestra Comments
One of my favorite Zappa pieces, great rendition! Awesome!
~cool...greetings from 2 musicians (sitar & tanpura) from germany........(maria&harald,road to himalaya)...~
Very nice. Just love Low Budget.
who's frank zappa?
right uncle deadly , 4:31 has made me smile since it's release... i "sing" along to it.....
To my hearing, this part of it is a guitarsolo that was written out for other instruments
A friend of mine is the principle trombonist with the London Philharmonic.
I am constantly prodding him to secure some Zappa on their performance list.
What a wonderful version of this tune. Masterfully played. I like Jean-Luc Ponty's version on the King Kong album, but this version is even better.
The violin part is such a masterpiece. The reason Frank never got extremely popular is because he always surrounded his nice melodies with this freaky music and sounds. I love it though.
The Version if Guitar hernia is way better :Excerpt From Revised Music For Guitar And Low Budget Symphony Orchestra
My 2 year old loves the Tom and Jerry cartoons....
The orchestral music that adds drama to the animation is
not far removed from this Zappa composition.
I am a Zappa fan, so don't get me wrong.
I have sat through dozens of Tom and Jerry cartoons
with my youngster, he's watching, I listen to the orchestration
that propels the scenes......and I hear 'Zappa'.
RACIST TOM JERRY
Absolutely fantastic
This is a great version.
@HomelyCooking
leaves you speechless
Wow - this one is damn good. Not a big fan - but sometimes its genius with him.
The orchestra did this FZ composition proud !!
An exquisite rendition of one of my faves....
@harpdoodle
HAHAHAHAH!!!! That sounds about right =p
The melody at 4:31 is just stunningly beautiful.
This is my all time favourite Zappa piece (Besides Zoot Allures)
and this is the most accurate rendition I know of other than
the version he delivered on Studio Tan.
@Cambodia69
Yep....sounds about right. Think of the LSO as mid age musicians...
Zappa thought they would deliver by experience, but infact, they were conditioned
classical players.
The Modern Ensemble delivered.
@harpdoodle In one of Frank's interviews, he mentions there not being enough time for the LSO to rehearse and perform the music to where he was happy with it. It was an expensive endeavor and it was paid entirely out of his pocket. He mentioned not being too pleased with the results and that it would be a long time before he'd again attempt such a project. That said, he still expressed interest in similar future explorations if there were unlimited funds and unlimited time to get it right.
@harpdoodle nah, the LSO just wasn't good enough :3
@JD0x0
wow....very strong ....stuff ......
Why do you say that? Frank was surely the one
who 'wore the pants'.....in the household..!!
@harpdoodle Gail is a gold digging cunt. End of story.
The London Symphony Orchestra couldn't play Zappa's compositions
because they were too difficult.
In the 1990's, I wrote to Gail and Frank outlining my concern about
how an earthquake would send his library of tapes into rubble.
I recieved by return, a letter from Gail with a list of the scores available and
the prices for them.
I am just so glad that others are interpreting his work.
It was difficult for enough those working with him, nevermind
those who only have notes to interpret.....
@orsonfreud
This is a version worthy of great applomb.
It is the so closely related to the original vinyl release...
I might like it enough to prefer it !!!
A reasonably accurate cover of the original recorded work.
From 4:32 to 5:56 my soul stay suspended in joy...
This is one of my favorite pieces. I still have the Jan Luc Ponte version "Music for violin and low budget orchestra" and the one arranged 4 guitar.
musics music .
Clearly one of the best Zappa's songs, with RDNZL, for example. This is the kind of music he wanted to do. Ok, I like also those crazier and faster songs, but mostly those which are musically focused, not lyrically.
