The intro's Distorted GUitar sounded so good and the Rock Organ solo was not overplayed too. The girls' Background Vocals added enough support for Paul's before the chorus. the Bass line is groovy. Whoever arranged all the ways the instruments are played this song is amazing! NOt forgetting the composer is also phenomenal.

One of my absolute favourite cover versions ever.

well...he is no george michael though. Paul Young's voice is one of those which is either you like or dislike....which can be said too about Rod Steward. You either like it or you dislike.

Pino and Paul are a combo. that's what made it so fucking good. we will never hear the like's again. voice and bass.

I remember buying mainly for the sound of the Fairlight orchestra stab.

Paul young cover version better than the Ann pebbles original version and this was the last time you saw the backing singers the wealthy tarts instead he replace his backing singers with two dark black singers.

I watched a live concert of Alvin Stardust performing at the age of 71 in 2013, and he sang and moved as good as he ever had. I was completely amazed! Sadly he died the following year.

He's lucky to be singing at all after what happened to his voice in the mid to late 1980s, when he thought he would have to give up singing for good due to years of damage to his voice. Scared the hell out of him at the time.
