Young, Neil - White Line Lyrics

I came to you,
when I needed a rest
You took my love,
and put it to the test
I saw some things,
that I never
would have guessed
Feel like a railroad,
I pulled a whole load behind.

That old white line
is friend of mine
And it's good time
we've been making
Right now I'm rollin' down
the open road
And the daylight
will soon be breaking.

I was adrift
on a river of pride
It seemed like such a
long easy ride
You were my raft
but I let you slide
I've been down but
I'm coming back up again.

And I'm rollin' down
the open road
Where the daylight
will soon be breaking
Right now I'm thinking 'bout
these things that I know
But it's good time
that we've been making.

Still have the original CD pressing of this record. In 1988 after I graduated high school I got a job cutting grass and I used to listen to the classic rock station that played 60's and 70's rock and that is when I discovered Neil and Crazy Horse. Flash forward to 1990 when this album came out and I fell in love with it immediately. It's truly one his strongest releases.

Play this at my funeral, right after "Powderfinger" and "Cortez the Killer". I want to see the looks on the face of the preacher!

Neil Young is still top of the charts for me! I’m so grateful for what you’re doing for the environment❣️🦋 It’s taken me a while to find you and I hope you’re both doing okay since the fire😢.
I was in 6th grade when colored toilet paper was banned!!😂😅 Happy 😊 New Day!

Which Fire? Read his Bio. It seems like Fires have been following Neil his whole life. Anyway, I like you, wish him well! He is on my personal "Mount Rushmore".
