I love Neil and the Horse but this crap is awful. Neil, please get serious about your music again and stop pretending every time you play a note that it's golden. We get so few chances to hear new music from Crazy Horse and you find some way to screw it up like doing children's folk songs or making some kind of silly political statement like Greendale. Please, less CONCEPT and more SUBSTANCE.

This album is obviously a bunch of aged legends getting together and jamming along to their favourite folk songs they've been playing all their lives. OF COURSE it's going to be SWEET!

The "sound", singing, song subjects and video aesthetic are all reminiscent of Nick Cave and the Bad Seed's 2008 "Dig, Lazarus, Dig". Kudos to Neil Young for recognizing their genius.

SOOOOO GOOD! When I first saw the track listings for "Americana", I thought, "I know I will like this as an ultimate fan, but this could be a disaster to the occasional Neil Young fan". Then I bought the album today and gave it my first listen. Wow! This is a triumph that any music lover should take inspiration from. I'm ditching my acoustic guitar for this weekends camping trip and pulling out my electric. Neil has given a whole new meaning to the campfire sing along.Thank You again Neil.

So grateful to Public Radio station for their interview today with Neil Young, introducing the listeners to this new album!! It was a wonderful inspiration to immediately seek internet information about the new album (resulting in this video!)! I am hoping someone will have information (year, location, cause of violence) relating to the wonderful old-times scenes in this video! The song and views enhanced my sense of appreciation for education relating to history.
