Young, Neil - Everybody's Rockin' Lyrics

When grandma and grandpa
get out on the floor
They rock until they drop
and then they rock some more
Yeah, everybody's rockin',
well, everybody's rockin'
Everybody's rockin',
rockin' to the dancin' beat.

From the shakey city
down to New Orleans
The Golden Gate
to the Bronx and Queens
Everybody's rockin',
yeah, everybody's rockin',
Well, everybody's rockin',
rockin' to the dancin' beat.

When Ronnie and Nancy
do the bop on the lawn
They're rockin' in the White House
all night long.
Everybody's rockin',
everybody's rockin',
Everybody's rockin',
rockin' their blues away.

Everybody's rockin',
rockin' their blues away
Everybody's rockin',
rockin' all night and day.

Everybody's rockin',
everybody's rockin'
Yeah, everybody's rockin',
everybody's rockin'
Everybody's rockin',
rockin' to the dancin' beat.
Everybody's rockin',
dancin' to the rockin' beat.

Young, Neil Everybody's Rockin' Comments
  1. B.... H....

Die Lp habe ich auch, selten so schlechten Rock and Roll gehört.

  2. M.... M....

This album was recorded entirely digitally as an experiment to reproduce the ROCK & ROLL sound and I believe it may have been one of the first digital albums. Not sure if they were running outboard Analog?Anyway I love the early Rock feeling of the cassette and would like to get the vinyl.

  3. D.... L....

we are gonna this money.go make a record. neil makes this. they are pissed. one of the great records. they cant understand why. what a bunch of lunies.

  4. M.... H....

LOVED playin' this on my radio show today!

  5. s.... ....

I liked It so much that I bought it twice

  6. S.... ....

Of course I was in my 20’s when I bought the cassette ( I’m 57 now) but after the fact, I think it was a catchy pile of rubbish

  7. S.... S....

I remember buying this LP when it was new and being really pissed because it was so bad. I didn't know he'd intentionally made it bad. Now that I know, it's f*&^ing hilarious. Just compare the utter lack of originality on it to anything else he has ever done. It's such a Neil Young thing to do - it's a big FU because he didn't want to do the album.

  8. R.... c....

Excelente LP de rockabilly que es una rareza en la discografia del maestro Neil Young y que tuve la fortuna de tener cuando fue importado a México...

  9. S.... M....

A great song from a ledgendary performer

  10. O.... ....

For those commenting that this is rubbish, you must realise that NY intended for it to be pretty much exactly that? I thought the joke would be apparent purely from the fact he named it something as terrible as 'Everybody's Rockin'

  11. C.... B....

What a funny c*nt. Love NY.

  12. M.... M....

    pretty good

  13. J.... 8....

it's amazing that this man survived the '80s

  14. p.... ....

Though this was a swipe at Geffen, it's very well made, mixed, marketed. Everybody's Rockin Bernard

  15. k.... ....

This was intended as an FU to David Geffen. Those who don't get this and hold it up as some sort of comparison to the original are morons.

    k.... ....

    Agreed. This is just awesome.

    k.... ....

yes they told him to make a rock and roll record because he was making different styles of music and he gave them this.

    k.... ....

It just seems that no matter what genre of music Neil took on, he could master it!

  16. t.... ....

    Bobby Freeman rules!!!!!!!

  17. D.... R....

    THIS VERSION SUX !

    D.... R....

Zeke, why don't you suck a fuck.

  18. d.... ....

Playing with Ralph Molina for so many years has destroyed Neil Young's ability to put together a good rhythm section that grooves. This is so limp.

  19. T.... M....

this is better than the original

    T.... M....

    get your ears checked.

  20. D.... M....

I always loved this album and this song. Thanks Neil for making all music wonderful.

  21. G.... A....

Neil, man, what were you thinking

    G.... A....

This was intended as an FU to David Geffen, who criticized TRANS for not sounding enough like Neil Young.

    G.... A....

True. Geffen demanded a "rocking" album, so Neil obliged him. I think Geffen actually sued him over it!
