Pre ordered the signed deulux edition of Cavalier Youth and im going to my 2nd You Me At Six gig in april! ^_^ Quite happy right now.

I'm almost in tears because I miss my favorite band:( These lyrics just seem so sloped together and not really thought out or even seems like how he writes. I still am proud of them, it's just crappy because I have listened to You Me At Six when they were on Myspace with only like 3 or 4 songs to listen to! Ahhh I guess I'll stick to the Take Off Your Colours album, forever!

Bands change their sound as they grow and mature. Josh (and the rest of YMAS) has said that they have matured along with their music, continuing with their audience. For example, "The Liar and the Lighter" - Josh wrote that when he was 16 I think. He's contributed to the lyrics now, they're obviously going to be different. You're not wrong for craving a different sound from our favourite band, but this is who they are now.

Josh's voice sounds really good on this and the new songs! Its an pleasnt improvement from take off your colours

Honestly Take off your colours is my favourite album of all time, however I can see why some would think this is an improvement. Just my opinion, take off your colours had more emotion in it.

Well I hope its an improvement from an album that was released about 6 years ago.

@Oliver Wright I agree, Take off your colours seemed to have been more their style and what they were trying to be. I think the pressure of record labels and trying to make everyone happy has gotten to them so I think its harder for them to put emotion into their music or lyrics anymore. My opinion.

I love the fact that You Me At Six didn't drastically change during their time unlike Panic! for example

panic! has always stated that they'd never make the same record twice and that their sound would continuously change, so I'm not completely shocked by their most recent record. but yeah, you me at six has always stayed true to their own unique sound!

I don't care what anyone says about the same kind of music. The new songs are amazing!! It's better than them changing their genre completely like a lot of bands have done, and they stuck with the rock that everyone loved them for. Thank you ymas for the amazing music<3

To everyone saying that this lacks energy: It's not a single and it's the eighth track of Cavalier Youth, the tracks won't be quick and heavy throughout the album, just like Sinners Never Sleep, it has variety. The only two songs revealed from this album have been made to rank high in the charts and to show how the songs will vary

for me, Sinners Never Sleep is their best album so far. loved all the songs on that album and those songs are better than this and Lived a Lie

Sinners just has a bit of a darker/ heavier sound. All of their albums are incredible imo

I just feel like this song is so.... flat

I don't hate this I don't even dislike it this is just ok but it is nowhere near as exciting or energetic as anything they have done before. It's not a bad song but this recording really sounds pretty dull there is an overall lack of energy. I'm still looking forward to the full album though I'm sure there are more exciting songs than this.

It's different, but different isn't bad. This song is pretty good, better than Lived a Lie (which still wasn't bad). I think the thing with this song is that it's over before it really picks up.
I'm still excited for the new album. Don't knock it before you've heard the whole thing - when they released Loverboy it was definitely not representative of SNS as a whole!!

I think Cavalier Youth is going to be the best album yet. Just listen to some old stuff like Promise Promise, then come back to this. They have improved so much and I'm proud of them.

These two songs from their new album is more pop ish than the older songs. I like them, but there isnt really much rock over it
