Yo La Tengo - Blue Line Swinger Lyrics
You, you won't talk about what we see when the lights are out
And I'm willing to hold your hand while you're lost,
while you're so full of doubt
Walk for miles, on your own loose ends, I'll find you there
I'll find you there
You, you walk up thin blue lines possible with reality
And I, I see through small red eyes,
glowing still at your uncertainty
Out of darkness you will come around, I know you will
I know you will
And I'll find you
And I'll find you there

Yo La Tengo Blue Line Swinger Comments
what amazes me about this song is that once you read the lyrics, the song being unnecesarily long makes total sense. Masterpiece

While you're so full of doubt

The mark of a great band is when they're better live. I had the pleasure of witnessing Yo La Tengo close their show with this in London a few nights ago. Epic. Late 50s- early60 year olds rocking out harder than anyone I've seen in recent years.
I discovered this song today. I listened to it like 20 times in a row. Then I went and see them live, and they didn't play it (I loved them anyway, OF COURSE). So I'm back home, listening to it some 10 more times
They played it the other day in Barcelona! Did you see them in Madrid?
It has been my favorite song for over a decade. I never get tired of hearing it. In 18 days I will watch it perform live for the 4th time (I hope). Therefore I don't care to have missed a concert of Joy Division, to broke up with my girlfriend 24h ago (now I have an extra ticket... anyone?), if the heater at home is not working and now I'm hungry. I'm a lucky guy and fuck it! I'm happy!
I can’t believe there was a time when I used to prefer the stripped down Camp Yo La Tengo version
masterpiece
That bass is the big bang
It always goes so deep... No matter what. So deep that It hurst.
My favorite song. It’s so sad. So real.
I needed to be inspired. so here I am reaching for a classic.
I needed to cry. So here I am
CaptChunkstyle me three.
Make that 4 for gore...I’m quoting Dave from Summer School, but my heart really is a bloody mess
