Yes - I See You Lyrics

I see you la la la la la la I see you
I see you la la la la la la I see you
I see you la la la la la la I see you
Sun smiling through the cave of your hair
Wind washing tulips out of space sitting there
I love you
At your door second floor first world war
I love you
Who listens
tell your friend I'm aware that she care
who listens
Green specks bright spiraling out in the sky
catch my eye turn my head have to look don't know why
I see you
Everywhere behind your hair over there
I see you
I see you though your eyes can tell lies I sympathize,
I see you
Sun smiling through the cave of your hair
Wind washing tulips out of space sitting there
I love you
At your door second floor first world war
I love you
I see you,
Everywhere behind your hair over there
I see you
I see you though your eyes can tell lies I sympathize
I see you
I love you,
I love you at your door second floor first world war
I love you
I love you
I love you
I love you
I love you
I love you

Yes I See You Comments
  1. F.... P....

sounds like song of the storms from the legend of zelda

  2. E.... T....

Great song and great cover version no doubt about it but it borders on prog to my ears, and I don't really like prog. Personally, I much prefer Reg King and The Action's interpretation for a BBC session which can be found elsewhere on YouTube. They nailed it, even though they obviously hadn't rehearsed it much as Reg sings 'sympathise' instead of 'empathise'. I wonder if anyone ever told him :-?

  3. j.... ....

    Man I love this......

  4. E.... ....

Amazing... Yes sounded like Yes right from the beginning. I never heard the first album before. This can be viewed as the stepping stone from phychedelic rock to progressive rock. The guitar playing is foreshadowing Steve Howe.

  5. R.... G....

Sucks we never saw Pete Banks with Steve Howe
since they sound so strangely similar

    R.... G....

Pete Banks does a better Wes Montgomery than Steve does !

  6. R.... G....

    Peter Banks and Bill Bruford
and Tony Kaye and Chris Squire and
    Jon Anderson

  7. M.... Z....

50 years on and light years ahead of the crap being commercialised today

  8. A.... D....

Love the Byrds version, this one’s pretty good too.

  9. B.... B....

Great version, but I still like the Byrds the best.

  10. S.... W....

Great cover version of the original. Thanks for uploading by the way and best wishes to you x

  11. F.... G....

    the great Peter Banks !

  12. T.... W....

    Bitch I don't see you

  13. F.... Z....

Peter Banks sadly very underrated ...

  14. R.... ....

Peter Banks may have been limited, but he really brought some great licks and signature style, as did all the others. Oh, and he came up with the band name. Adventurous guitar I can now appreciate after fifty years in a new way, for its uniqueness. And, making the seven minute rock sonata a respectable thing made way for other bands to create classics of that format, like The Musical Box, Stairway to Heaven, Bohemian Rhapsody, Sweet Thing, and album rock in general.

  16. C.... C....

Reminds me of some King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard themes

  17. i.... ....

Guess my band gonna learn this, can’t wait to nail these kickin guitar parts!!!

    i.... ....

    ihodges215121 How goes it?

  18. J.... S....

  19. E.... J....

    Que maravilha de música

  20. K.... ....

    Much better version

    Drums, Vibraphone – Bill Bruford
    Guitar, Vocals – Peter Banks (July 15, 1947 – March 7, 2013)

  22. .... ....

    2:48 Mission: impossible

  23. Y.... K....

This is good song I like it

  24. l.... ....

a cover? who did the original then?

    l.... ....

    The Byrds

    l.... ....

Written by David Crosby and Roger McQuinn

    l.... ....

    The LP Fifth Dimension

  25. C.... K....

I love this song it sums up a special time in my life when I was in my teens and now I'm in my 60 s but still love it and the memories. It's our song

  26. M.... M....

Great cover, no doubt, Anderson sounding like Mel Torme on acid! Superb drumming but then what would you expect from someone who was rated by Buddy Rich!?!? Still prefer Byrds raw original even though they hadn't got the chops to jam like this....

  27. W.... L....

I like very much that song of yes, one of my favouurite.

  28. M.... ....

Bill Bruford was one of the best swing rock drummers ever.

    M.... ....

    MerkinMuffly Terry williams

    M.... ....

    Totalmente de acuerdo.

  29. j.... ....

I hope they stole the section at 4:50 from Whole Lotta Love as Page stole just about everything else.

    j.... ....

This album was made 6 months before whole lotta love, so Paige likely stole it from yes.

    j.... ....

    @dhalsim1 mm

    j.... ....

    Please look ok yeah m

    j.... ....

    M o
    By himself

  30. J.... F....

Peter Banks was actually a really good guitarist, but he doesn't get much love. He plays jazzier than Howe.

    J.... F....

    not quite but ok

    J.... F....

steve Howe's 1st solo LP.."nature of the sea" tune,,
    that is jazzy...check it out

    J.... F....

i will say that perhaps Banks was one of many influences on Howe....

    J.... F....

Howe blasted forward because he had mastered Chet Atkins' revolutionary innovations, for one thing. He had to turn down JethroTull to join Yes.

    J.... F....

i prefer banks over howes noodling constantly

  31. M.... Z....

    M A G N I F I C E N T !

  32. P.... T....

"Green specks bright spiraling out in the sky"
I always see that in the morning after psychedelic trips.
They sort of move away from eachother, sorta spinning and then scaping from the tangent, vanishing away in a second.

  33. T.... ....

i see you la la la la la la la la la
i see you la la la la la la la la la :V

    T.... ....

    try with an acid ..

    T.... ....

    GREAT ISNT IT

  34. B.... P....

You can almost hear the exact moment Psychedelic transformed into Progressive Rock on this track.

    B.... P....

    Listen to some Iron Butterfly.

  35. C.... M....

Such a jazz prog track, one of my favorites! Certainly very underrated, I don't know why.

  36. M.... G....

    I love you

  37. E.... B....

A very jazzy yet progressive number.Just watched their show at their inthronization at the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame. These guys have lost none of their thunder, one of the best always.

  38. S.... C....

Been a Yes fan for a while, but (and don't judge people) I never heard this song till last night.... Damn this is now one of my favorite Yes songs.

    S.... C....

It's from their first album which is definitely one of their best. I suggest getting the version with the bonus tracks.

    S.... C....

It didn't catch my attention until after musicians were calling me a musician. There is a lot going on that doesn't grab someone who expects all the music to do all the giving. It may not reach out and grab you and refuse to let go like Heart of the Sunrise, but most of the great prog elements are there in a very tasteful and courageous way.

  39. S.... O....

    Sublime.

  40. G.... T....

Cara, não me canso de ouvir essa música (BR).

    G.... T....

Você ouviu a versão original? A dos Byrds? Mesmo essa sendo um cover, na minha opinião é um pouco melhor. (Sei que estou atrasado)

  41. s.... a....

Such a great piece of music...all their raw influences before they ventured down the prog route...love Jon's voice and the harmonies with Chris and that bass sound plus of course Bills great drumming...Peter Banks and the jazz meet Byrds vibe..love it all..listened to this when i could barely comprehend music as 6 year old :)

  42. S.... T....

imi the only one that feel this sounds like The Door

    S.... T....

Serenity Tree better than th3 doors x1000

    S.... T....

    The doors

    S.... T....

    maybe the Doors copied them

    S.... T....

    It a doors cover

  43. B.... ....

Banks' finest Yes moment, the solo with Bruford.

    B.... ....

    Oh , I agree.

I was thirteen then.LPs were expensive, but buying this one made me happy.

The best DJs on Belgian radio really plugged it .

By the time I got the money it was out of stock.

The story of my life really.

    B.... ....

Just an amazing song. It actually received some airplay once fragile got them going.

  44. C.... J....

All these years I thought it was the CSN version I loved, but no, it was YES! Not that I don't like the other, but hello, this is the one I fell in love with. "At your door, second floor, first world war ... " brrr! Great music, great lyrics. Why didn't the Stranglers do this one? Wooo!

  45. z.... ....

Bill Bruford's drumming here is absolutely sublime. Incedible.

    z.... ....

    Dr. Bruford ;-)

    z.... ....

    zoznack *Incredible

    z.... ....

His swing on this song is one of the best in rock history.

  46. M.... F....

    lálálálálálá...i see yooooooooooou...amazing good....

  47. O.... S....

    i love it

  48. P.... P....

In my opinion, it's Yes' best song. Still prefer The Byrds' version.

    P.... P....

This song is sublime but not Yes' best song.

    P.... P....

@Pat Rotten not even close to be the best one.. Must not be a Yes fan for sure.

  49. B.... R....

    brilliant !

  50. J.... S....

This the song that John Cena hates

    J.... S....

the name John Cena means nothing .

    J.... S....

You piece of shit. I'm the only fucking person who can see his ass.

    J.... S....

    jeez, you're so fucking cringy

    J.... S....

    John Cena Sucks

    J.... S....

When I look up the term ' punk bitch ' in the slang dictionary there is Cenas mug

  51. T.... M....

that beautiful nostalgic 60's sounds, brings back memories of hot summers and innocent times as a young boy

    T.... M....

    Or girl! :)!

  52. L.... R....

  54. T.... ....

A very jazzy interpretation. One of those covers that is vastly superior to the original. Like Luther Vandross' cover of "Superstar" or The Mars Volta's cover of "Pulled to Bits".

    T.... ....

Who's talking shit about Yes? That sucks that you're forced to stop your Spotify and can't listen to Yes, they're a top-notch group, I agree there.

    T.... ....

Shade Kerensky this fucking faggot who's comment is at the very fucking top is saying bullshit that pissed my ass off. I hate fucking faggets who talk shit about good bands. LIKE YES!!!!! Just pretty much every comment that is negative towards yes. Is a fucking dick who should be burned alive. And yes the salt is still VERY alive. :)

    T.... ....

Got ya, on that. Yeah, it's definitely aggravating when the uncultured try to disrespect true culture.

    T.... ....

Shade Kerensky thank you for understanding all this bullshit. NO BULLSHIT!

    T.... ....

Vastly superior to Byrds my ass. Talk about gilding, and killing, the lily!

  55. T.... E....

I know it's a cover but I absolutely love this song.

    T.... E....

To be fair it and the original are equally good.

  56. T.... E....

I know it's a cover but I absolutely love this song.

  57. a.... ....

    Peter is fantastic...

  58. T.... ....

    Criminally underrated Yes album.
This Byrds cover is really awesome. I love the vocals and the great solo guitar playing.

    T.... ....

This is a cover of the Byrds original.

    T.... ....

@unevenspleener Clearly a millennial who thought this was the original, either that or musically uneducated.

    T.... ....

Anthony Moss what does him being a millennial have anything to do with it?

  59. j.... k....

one of my favorite yes songs

    j.... k....

    It's actually a Byrds song

    j.... k....

Classic Rock No, this is actually a song by Yes. It's a cover, but it's still a Yes song.

    j.... k....

can't imagine YES doing a cover song.

    j.... k....

Their first two albums contained like 2 or 3 covers a piece.

    j.... k....

Sandro Kovalev your honestly right. They had I see you. By the byrds. And they had Every little thing. By the beatles

  60. Y.... ....

...widzę Cię...:-)), ...mimo że Ty tam a ja tutaj...:-))

    Y.... ....

@***** ...Dzięki, a grajków toć u nas dostatek...cały czas graja, chyba ...,że o swoich uszach coś malujesz (żart)...:-))
...to ja dziękuję...:-)), chce się bardziej...:-))

  61. D.... G....

Some kick ass groovin guitar in this song.

    D.... G....

    Peter Banks, R.I.P.

  62. D.... N....

    This song just grooves

    D.... N....

    It swings

  63. N.... O....

just the fact this album was hard to find especially in north america at the time of release is probably the biggest reason for it being overlooked.. amazing sounds - thanks for sharing.

    N.... O....

Great song from the Byrds, nice cover!

    N.... O....

@bassmanjoe which byrds song are they covering

    N.... O....

    @jacob katz This song

    N.... O....

@bassmanjoe i heard both versions the byrds version is also on youtube i like yes 's version better though they added a bit of a flair to it

  64. J.... H....
