Arguably Yes's finest album with Jon singing deeper, longer n stronger. Probably the best example of this is the first album. Thanks for doing it Gents. Now how about a whole lot more of this now better late than never man.

I've made a lot of mistakes in my life, but one of the best decisions I ever made was the day that I decided to sit down and "force" myself to listen to the Yes discography post Drama. The day that I began to to that was also the day that they began to dethrone Led Zeppelin as my favorite band.

Post Drama? They wrote one song that rivals Pre- Drama Yes -- Mind Drive. Thats it. The rest, while listenable, hardly present material that should supplant Zep. While I far prefer Yes to Zep, it because of everything leading up to Drama....certainly not afterward. But if it brings you joy...good for you.

Yes supplants Zeppelin for me because they surpass the puerile aspirations of cock rock. They win over punk's cynicism and pop's general obsolescence. Love, Inspiration, Life: That's Yes. It's evident on every record they've ever made, whatever the dips and heights.

<3 this is complete YES - and the 2001 tour! Definitely their best, up there with Relayer in 1975. In fact their orchestra performed Gates_of_Delerium with a most dynamic art-history collection of WWI /German Expressionist paintings behind them - images of chaos and suffering by Otto Dix, George Grosz, Max Beckmann - it was Yes' lesson in The Greater Goodness come to life. They went all out, and this musical collaboration demonstrates why.

Can't be precise but there is a lot of guitar on top of guitar done by Steve that is why it has never been played live.

The Headlong Flight's riff is similar to the bass line near the end xD

I always thought this could be their modern day (at the time) Close to the Edge. I had hoped they would play it during the tour with the orchestra but I still believe the keyboards could do a reasonable job on the strings.

Al Spilowey nothing to do with the orchestra there is much guitar layering by Steve on this song.

Think of it this way. Compare this album to all the "progressive rock" being put out by these new prog bands today. Its pretty much a 10 out of 10. Now if you try and compare it to some of the best progressive albums ever recorded... ala Yes's earlier material... then of course its going to sound like shit. Thats why you don't do that.
