Chris, I noticed on songs like ‘Siberian Khatru‘ you are alternating between 8 & 7 beats. What are you guys doing on ‘Awaken‘ after the vocal intro when you start playing your triple neck bass? I can’t seem to figure out the time signature.
Chris: The Awaken first section is, in fact, in 11/4, and it should work out if you count to 11.

No other Rock group can do it quite like Yes. Not only are they musical masters but they have defined a generation of nuts like myself who where lucky enough to be exposed to their talent and genious. I was hooked after I heard Roundabout.

Along with the entire "Tales" album, Close to the Edge, and Gates of Delirium, this is one of their most lyrically profound and musically devastating works. What an amazing legacy to leave the world. Seeing this live was truly a spiritual transformation. I was lucky to be in the front row for the "Round" tours debuting this material. Beautiful. <3 Some amazing trivia: The pipe organ tracks for this song (and album) were recorded over a telephone line! It turned out to be the most efficient way to run lines to the church where it was, and the audio signal, as one can hear, wasn't too bad :D
