Chris Martin’s a great vocalist, but this destroys the original.

It was the end of the year and Christmas was coming up, I visited my dad in the hospital and was cycling home, feeling rather helpless in the situation of my dad being sick, I saw the christmas lights in the trees in the city switching on, while I heard the lines: "Lights will guide you home.... and I will try to fix you" on my headphones. Tears were running instantly. 2 months later I was cycling the same road and the christmas lights were being taking out of the trees. ...My dad passed away a few hours before. Still getting goosebumbs everytime I hear this song and thinking about it.

She left me again, concerts holding hands , kissing , then she tells you she doesn't love you anymore

I honesty prefer this version over the original.

This song is really beautiful. I liked it even better than the original (but since I am no Coldplay fan and an avid-Yellowcard fan, I guess it is kind-of biased). This song has the music and the words that I want to say. This song is me.

Dedicating this song to another person is a very nice and cute gesture in my opinion, And it shouldn't necessarily mean that you want to fix them or even try. In my opinion it should mean that you're willing to give them your help if they ask for it. It should mean that you will be there at any given time for them. It should mean that you are willing to truly listen to them. It should mean that they are not alone.That they shouldn't depend on you to fix what's broken in them. Just let you help.

All these covers just prove one thing...Chris Martin is one hell of a songwriter. I love listening to all these artists putting their spin on such a great song. Proof that they love this song as much as we all do. I do have to say that Boyce Avenue ft. Tyler Ward is the best cover of "Fix You", hands down. Check it out if you can.
