Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Slave Lyrics

It eats your soul, like tears you fall, my slave
You steal, you heed the call, my slave
The keys, the keys are gone, my slave
You keep me beating on

It eats your soul, like tears you fall, my slave
You steal, you heed the call, my slave
You keep me, you keep me, your slave
You keep me, you keep me, your slave

On my own
You keep me, you keep me
On the throne
Heads down all day
On my own
You keep me, you keep me
On the throne
Heads down all day

Come feed on your love

I kno this band with Heads Will Roll, and I gusttaron something.
Then I went back to listen to the Miles Away, and Kiss Machine, and really love but the Miles Away, listen to the background and listen to the Fever To Tell and Show Your Bones.
    Love the band.
Forward Wait album 'Mosquito' thinking that would be something sensational, took Sacrilege and I thought they were on track. Until I hear the album enteron and not what I expected, I was disappointed the YYY's

  26. s.... ....

    This song is the shitttttttttttttttttt

  27. M.... S....

Anybody who's listened from the YYY's ep through this has enough sense to know that Mosquito is a logical progression for them. They've had electronic influences from jump street and have not been afraid to venture beyond the box most "fans" like to paint them into. Go see a live show and then let me see you piss and moan.

  28. A.... ....

    It's terrible.

  29. G.... C....

I totally agree, an excellent cd x

  30. M.... ....

An example would be Linkin Park. They had a unique sound, and were successful. But they stuck with it for too long. And when they decided to change it up, they changed it dramatically, and people who loved them before lost all respect. Subtle changes in style and/or sound can make a huge difference. A different example wouldbetheRollingStones. The longest-running band(w/ original members)this world will probably ever know. They are still touring, but its only their old stuff that ppl want to hear

  31. M.... ....

Yeah, it is kind of hard to accept that music sounds different than it did before. But it is always changing, right along with everything else changing. Because music (i believe) is a creative outlet for most musicians, and their life experiences and interests shape their sound. So, most bands who have been around for decade(s) cannot create what they used to...and most who try to stick to one sound tend to lose their creative touch.

  32. K.... ....

You guys are all trash, YYY's were fucking brilliant the other night at ATP. and this whole album is fucking inspiring. If you cant capture that, then something is truly wrong with you.

  33. s.... ....

Also, my expectations for Mosquito were kind of high because it's my first approach to modern day music in a long time and YYY's kept us waiting. Maybe the problem is also, that most of the people are so obssessed with new releases of anything, so they gladly accept talk like "You have to understand that the times are different now". And I mean music in general, not only YYY. But perhaps it's a different point of view for anyone who ever tried to form a band of any kind or played an instrument.

  34. s.... ....

I must say that you can really prove your point, sir. I never meant that the fans are "killing" bands, that would be kind of hipster talk. But what annoys me, is that people in my country can only name that Project X remix of Heads Will Roll, so as long as it stays like that, I can only dream of a YYY gig in here. But on the contrary I believe that people shouldn't have a taste "forced" by someone because you can't replace that discovery feeling, when hearing something for the first time.

  35. M.... ....

and the great thing about being a fan of this band is that a lot of people ARE critical of their work. So my love for them can't possibly deter their creativity, if that is really a thing that happens. (I don't know, I feel sort of motivated when someone likes my work)

  36. M.... ....

I believe and have accepted that the music industry had more influence in the last two albums. And I also agree that change is good. But I don't go around saying that everything they will ever do will be amazing , that I idolize and worship them to the end of time, or that I go out and buy anything and everything they make before I know what I'm buying. I guess die hard isn't the phrase to describe me. And I cant agree that they won't be able to reach their potential bc they have some fans.

  37. s.... ....

I have to agree with you on the first two songs you mentioned, and yeah, it's great when band doesn't stick to one scheme, or keep recording the same thing all over again, but you have to remember one thing; as long as we act like fanboys, and embrace anything they would release, it won't stimulate them to go further, and really try to prove us, that we haven't heard all yet. Actually IMHO Mosquito might have more to do with the music industry expectations than the bands own creativity itself.

  38. M.... ....

lol. I was just being cheeky. A lot of people (understandably) don't like this album so much; since it sounds nothing like their previous works. In my opinion, this album is just as great as their other stuff. But Im not really the best person to ask, since I've been a die-hard fan since Master was released...and I seriously only dislike 2 songs out of everything they made. But the songs I like most on this one are Under the Earth, Slave, and Wedding Song. (sorry, Autistic intensity right thurr)

  39. F.... ....

Why? Do the other songs get BETTER with more listens?

Feel free to tell me which ones are better so I can give them a bit more attention. I was just giving my initial two cents.

  40. M.... ....

One does not simply "skim through" Yeah Yeah Yeah's songs.

  41. J.... A....

    fave song right now!!

  42. S.... d....

¿La mejor canción de "Mosquito"? No sé, esta rifa.

  43. F.... ....

Is this the only good song from the album "Mosquito"? Skimming through the songs it kind of feels that way. Pity, since this song is blooming awesome. Love it!

  44. c.... ....

    the perfect track

  45. S.... H....

<3 it thanks for the upload.
