A few years ago i was in a bad place. I came across this video and it made me very happy, and I kept coming back to it. Some evenings I spent 2-3 hours watching it, because it helped me escape my problems and felt like an old friend giving me a hug. Over the last few years I've seen this video in full at least 10,000 times, and it's definitely the video on youtube I've watched the most.

Over the last year I've been trying to find what it was that kept me coming back, why it has such a welcoming and uplifting feeling. I love classic Star Wars, I love this song, and i grew up with both. But both of them alone don't give me this feeling, however the combination of the song and this well-put together video is mesmerizing. I am in a better place now than I was a few years ago, and just last week I finally identified why this video is so good, and appealing.


Starting at 2:21 a door to a spiritual realm begins to open, where anything is possible, and you might even find God or the source of love and holiness. This door is fully open by 2:27 for 12 seconds until 2:39, where it begins to close, and is closed by 2:45. But this can't just be watched alone, the whole video is required. I can't explain why this video does that, maybe because the video caused me to emphasize with Luke, but it does, and I love it.
