Yankovic, Weird Al - Pancreas Lyrics

Oooh oooh oooh ee-oooh oooh oooh
Ahh ahh ahh ahh ahh ahh-oooh oooh
Oooooh

I'm always thinkin' 'bout it
I don't know what I'd do without it
I love, I really love
My pancreas

My spleen just doesn't matter
Don't really care about my bladder
But I don't leave home without
My pancreas

My pancreas is always
There for me
Ahh-oooh

Secreting those enzymes (bap bap bap)
Secreting those hormones too
Metabolizing carbohydrates
Just for me

Ba-ba ba ba-ba ba ba ba-ba ba ba
My pancreas
Ba-ba ba ba-ba ba ba ba-ba ba
My pancreas
Ba-ba ba ba-ba ba ba ba-ba ba ba
My pancreas
Ba-ba ba ba-ba ba ba ba-ba ba
My pancreas

Ba-ba ba ba-ba ba ba ba-ba ba ba
My pancreas
Ba-ba ba ba-ba ba ba ba-ba ba
My pancreas
Ooooooh

My pancreas attracts every other
Pancreas in the universe
With a force proportional
To the product of their masses
And inversely proportional
To the distance between them

Woo woo woo woo

Don'tcha you know you gotta
Flow, flow, flow, pancreatic juice
Flow, flow, into the deuodenum

Won'tcha
Flow, flow, flow, pancreatic juice
Flow, flow, into the deuodenum

Insulin, glucagon
(Won'tcha flow, flow, flow, pancreatic juice)
Comin' from the islets of Langerhans...
(Flow flow, into the deuodenum)

Insulin, glucagon
(Won'tcha flow flow flow, pancreatic juice)
Comin' from the islets of Langerhans...
(Flow flow, into the deuodenum)

Lipase, amylase, and tripsin
(Insulin, glucagon)
(Won'tcha flow, flow flow, pancreatic juice)
They gonna help with our digestion
(Comin' from the islets of Langerhans...)
(Flow flow, into the deuodenium)

Lipase, amylase, and tripsin
(Insulin, glucagon)
(Won'tcha flow flow flow, pancreatic juice)
They gonna help with our digestion
(Comin' from the islets of Langerhans...)
(Flow flow, into the deuodenum)

Can't you see I love my pancreas
{Lipase, amylase, and tripsin}
(Insulin, glucagon)
(Won'tcha flow flow flow, pancreatic juice)
Golly-gee I love my pancreas
{They gonna help with our digestion}
(Comin' from the islets of Langerhans...)
(Flow flow, into the deuodenum)

Can't you see I love my pancreas
{Lipase, amylase, and tripsin}
(Insulin, glucagon)
(Won'tcha flow flow flow, pancreatic juice)
Golly-gee I love my pancreas
{They gonna help with our digestion}
(Comin' from the islets of Langerhans...)
(Flow flow, into the deuodenum)

Can't you see I love my pancreas
{Lipase, amylase, and tripsin}
(Insulin, glucagon)
(Won'tcha flow flow flow, pancreatic juice)
Golly-gee I love my pancreas
{They gonna help with our digestion}
(Comin' from the islets of Langerhans...)
(Flow flow, into the deuodenum)

Can't you see I love my pancreas

  14. E.... M....

Think if all classes would be this much fun

  15. C.... C....

So the pancreas is actually a xenomorphic symbiotic parasite that has infiltrated beyond our protective dermal barriers to indoctrinate our youth? Naked lunch all over again.

Hello! I guess I was a child who was shelter and insulin . My pancreas was insulated with terrible secretion . My sweets in Jeopardy because my pancreas would make insulin slow but sure . My world turn upside down because my pancreas made insulin too slow for me to digest. Oh, pancreas will you ever turn up a moment notice to let me know your intentions to secrete sweetness in my life. Albert Joseph Demarco

  19. M.... B....

Trippy. It's 4:58 am; no wonder I can't get to sleep.

  20. H.... ....

    Woo, woo, islets of Langerhans!!!

  21. A.... ....

    Beach Boys references:
00:00 is Our Prayer found on the 20/20 album in 1969. Recorded originally in 1966 for SMiLE
00:24 is mostly in the style of the verse of God Only Knows (Pet Sounds, 1966.) But there's also the theremin like noise from Good Vibrations (single, 1966) and the harpsichord calls back to the SMiLE version of Wonderful from 1966.
1:21 is a tribute to the chorus and middle eight of the SMiLE version of Wind Chimes. The ooga-chakas reference "Do You Like Worms?" another SMiLE song.
2:11 is the "Cantina" section of Heroes and Villains. It's another SMiLE leftover.
2:34 is a nice pastiche of the bridge that connects to the end of Good Vibrations ("Gotttta keep those lovin' good...vibrations a happenin' with herrr")

  22. C.... S....

i remember life when my pancreas produced insulin. it was such a wonderful life.

  23. G.... E....

2:33 Don't cha know ya gotta flow, flow flow

  25. U.... ....

I won a bar quiz since I knew what the Islets of Langerhans were. Thank you Al, shame you blew your brains
    out in the 80's

    U.... ....

  26. A.... G....

    #NovologSavedMyLife

  27. T.... L....

    My pancreas doesn't work xD

  28. T.... ....

    As a type 1 diabetic...
    I find this hilarious

  29. J.... D....

Thank you Dr. Banting and Dr. Best.

  30. S.... P....

Your pancreas is always there for you

Diabetes type 1: hold my beer

  31. .... ....

    This looks like a ytp

  32. p.... ....

    Ooga chaka

  33. D.... V....

I left my pancreas in San Andreas
I forgot my kidney way down in Sidney
I drowned my liver way up in Liverpool
I left my brain in Spain out in the rain

  34. V.... R....

This video has similar energy as Queen's Radio Ga Ga video

  35. B.... D....

His pokerface parody should've gone like:
"Can't feel my, can't feel my, no I cannot feel my Pancreas! (He's got type 1 diabetes)"

  36. S.... ....

    ????????????????

  37. J.... K....

    still watching this in 2019

  38. T.... ....

As a diabetic, this is my favorite Weird Al song.

  39. k.... A....

This reminds me about bushwick bill

  40. W.... ....

This video still makes me uncomfortable, but I figured I listen to it to get me ready for my lecture on gastrointestinal biochemistry. Thinking of quoting this song on my exam paper too.

  41. M.... E....

tell the truth: Paul McCartney felt bad about "Chicken Pot Pie" and secretly wrote this song for you.

  42. M.... S....

This is written in the style of Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys yet is not an actual song by them--at least I do not recognize it from my large Beach Boy collection. So did they not give permission to use one of their songs? If so, this again reveals the GENIUS of Weird Al, that he can write his own music in the style of an artist, yet have it be different enough that you notice. Anybody know what happened?

    M.... S....

Weird Al has made several “Style Parodies” instead of direct parodies, so you’re exactly correct. “Craigslist” is a style parody of Doors. “Dare to be Stupid” is a style parody of Devo. “Genius in France” is a style parody of Frank Zappa. It’s amazing what he can do with these songs.

  43. N.... C....

What my life would be if my pancreas worked. #beingdiabeticsucks

  44. M.... ....

Reminds me of They Might be Giants.

  45. B.... B....

The song we never wanted nor deserved, but got anyway

  46. S.... ....

Haha nice Beach Boys parody here.

  47. C.... B....

My dad's a type one diabetic with a pancreas that doesn't work, and I've always felt guilty for loving this song

  48. A.... 2....

My pancreas is dead my immune system killed it

  49. F.... J....

I've just learned over the past couple weeks how important my pancreas is for my health.

  50. i.... Y....

Mine is now deemed useless. Its called type 1 diabetes

  51. A.... ....

I am Al's Pancreas, if I get Cancer, I kill Al!

  52. R.... e....

I'm sorry but this has to be the worst parady of The Beach Boys or god only knows or heroes and vibrations

  53. B.... O....

I want a pancreas. O had mine removed at 5 weeks old due to a genetic disorder called Congenital Hyperinsulinism where my pancreas made insulin all the time and I was born with a blood sugar of 20. My brother had the same condition but was born prematurely with brain damage and a blood sugar of 7. He also had his pancreas removed. So We both take up to 10 shots a day, prick my fingers, and ear medical devices all to try to replicate what our pancreases would do..

  54. D.... ....

Got reminded by this song when i was dissecting a rat in my bio lab and the guy next to me started signing this song

  55. S.... D....

I love the beach boys and i love weird al best of both worlds here.

    S.... D....

Me too! I’ve seen them both live several times.

  56. N.... S....

This song helped me pass my EMT certification.

  57. M.... J....

Fun fact; the plural of pancreas is actually pancreata

  58. L.... P....

    Venom's favorite song.

  59. S.... C....

Yippee....... pancreas.....master piece. M blown away

  60. C.... ....

I remember my high school bio teachers playing this

  61. J.... D....

    Weird song haha🤣😀😅😄🤔

  62. C.... D....

I truly believe that Al would have been a medical doctor if he wouldn't have been a famous parody musician

  63. W.... Z....

I went through Pet Sounds and The SMiLE Sessions to find each specific part, and here's what I found:

0:01- Don't Talk (Put Your Head on my Shoulder), specifically an a capella demo that Brian recorded of it
    0:24- God Only Knows
1:00- the cello is inspired by Good Vibrations
    1:05- I Know There's An Answer/Hang Onto Your Ego
1:21- Do You Like Worms/Roll Plymouth Rock
2:10- Heroes and Villains, the "In the cantina" bridge found on The SMiLE Sessions (Everyone tells me they hear Wind Chimes, but I don't)
2:29- The WOOOoooOOOoooOOOoooOOO from Heroes and Villains
2:34- The bridge in the extended version of Good Vibrations, though the continuous layering is similar to the end of Vege-Tables

  64. I.... 3....

I love all your songs and parodies Weird Al. And I don't think you would've been able to do it if you had problems with your pancreas. Therefore I love your pancreas too!

    I.... 3....

Peter Crouch umm what?! I don’t have a pancreas and can do perfectly normal things. Are you saying that people who don’t have pancreases or who have diabetes can’t do normal things

    I.... 3....

I didn't know it you could survive without a pancreas. But if you're still alive and doing okay without one, I'm glad to hear.

  65. p.... ....

It is NOT easy to replicate the sound of Brian Wilson. Al definitely did his homework on this one and it shows. Brian is a genius, and so is Al.

  66. P.... ....

    Mine never works

  67. L.... R....

The pancreas isn't there for CF warriors.

  68. H.... M....

I've been listening Weird Al and watching his music videos since like the 80s or so, and this is still one of his most bizarre. BUT.. I absolutely love the song and I can't entirely place why. Also, to join my voice with a few others, I am also a Diabetic.

  69. u.... ....

Most of the footage in this video comes from the Jam Handy short "Back of the Mike," which is actually a pretty enjoyable watch too.

  70. h.... j....

My science teacher showed me this because of the Newton's law Easter egg and its been stuck in my head help

  71. J.... C....

My favourite vegetable! Oh this is beautiful and hilarious. SMiLE :-)

  72. H.... A....

    I Love Weird Al

  73. D.... t....

I like the music videos that have random clips from random movies in them

  74. G.... S....

    This is the 1000th comment.

  75. H.... W....

and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.*   It's okay in the name of artistic license I suppose.

  76. E.... ....

I'm not sure why he broke off the med school lesson to go briefly into physics with the gravitational attraction thing, but okay. At least he got back to the islets of Langerhans! You could almost study for a quiz with this song. Lipase, amylase, and tripsin! Insulin and glucagon!

  77. K.... S....

    What is this video, though?

  78. G.... ....

THERE'S A VIDEO FOR THIS, OH MY LORD XD

  79. p.... b....

worst i dont need pancakesh njkml,;'

  80. l.... c....

    this shit dodo

  81. a.... ....

    As a type 1 diabetic, I'm offended
    Dislike

(This is a joke calm down lol)

  82. A.... H....

This song solidifies my statement of fact when I say that weird Al is a genius.

  83. G.... G....

i listened to this song while eating chocolate ice cream at 11 pm. just throwing it out there.

  84. t.... ....

This song is helping me get through my pancreatitis. Every time I think about eating something bad I have to remember that I love my pancreas <3

  85. G.... F....

This gets me hungry, so many snacks

  86. D.... G....

Eyes, lungs, *pancreas* so many snacks, so little time.

  87. D.... ....

The force should be inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them. Not gonna lie, I'm slightly disappointed...

  88. J.... ....

Weird Al has a ton of videos.

  89. G.... C....

    I have insulin resistance.

  90. J.... S....

Wow. Sometimes I think Al's spoofs are funnier than his parodies. 26 years after "Mr. Popeil," and the guy's still got it.

  91. A.... R....

This song came to my mind a lot in my biology class last year.

  92. M.... S....

I heard this song ONE TIME in 2011 and it helped me on my Biology final last week

  93. S.... ....

Where does this footage come from??

  94. A.... M....

I asked a urologist if he loved his pancreas and he said no
