I have to give my uncle a heartfelt thanks for playing Weird Al almost religiously after he came home from work when I was a kid. This was always one of my favorite songs of Al's.

Bought a 65 inch smart TV last week. This song was the first video I played on the YouTube app.

The reason it doesn't come across so clearly is that R.E.M. has such distinctive voices. But if you imagine this being sung with Michael Stipe's voice and Mike Mills backing, it is actually a spot on representation of the early 90s R.E.M. sound.

It's an original song, but I think the style is a parody of 90s alternative rock.

I know this song is mostly about a guy named frank who bought himself a new TV set that's as big as a Drive In Movie Theater. But, the song's music style, direction, and tone sounds more like tropical music. It sounds like the type of music you play when you're at the beach or in Florida.

Actually mathematically speaking it is possible.  The 2000 refers to the diagonal length of the screen and using trigonometry you can find that the other 2 sides are 896.155 inches and 1787.99 inches.  Just sayin

oh but your measurements are wrong, your implying that the tv would be in 16:9 aspect ratio, but at the time of this song all tvs and broadcasts were in 4:3 aspect ratio.

Mathematically speaking it's impossible for this tv to exist because if it was 2000 in. it would be 166.6 infinite ft. therefore making its size infinite and making it impossible to exist.

InfB has a limit of 2. it will always approach but never reach 2. thus even though both are infinite InfA>infB.

This is the case that applies to the OP. just because a point 6 repeats forever doesn't mean the tv is of infinite size. There is a mathematical limit, or as you point it "Infinity isn't infinite"

So me and my band have decided to cover more of his songs if the kids of today don't know Weird Al then we will get them to know him. This is maybe a weird thing to post in relation to such an upbeat song but.. yesterday was the two year anniversary of my mom passing away.. She and I used to sing this song together all the time.. So listening to it right now makes me feel a little better, and it helps me remember the laughs we had together..
