XTC - That Wave Lyrics
That wave
Pulled me into your eyes
Through the greeney grey pebbles
And countless cathedrals arriving
That wave
Turning spires and spittle of pearls
To perplex the young diver
I flew down to the bottom of the sea
Where I questioned the fishes all about it
I was in heaven
Address cloud eleven
They danced and laughed spelling all I fell into was love
That wave
Carried me through your hair
Up from suffocate seaweed
That wave
Pushed me into your skin
Where I bathed in the promises
Giddy with planets parading
I swam down to the bottom of the sky
Where I questioned the blue birds all about it
I was in heaven
Address cloud eleven
They danced and laughed spelling all I fell into was love
That wave!
That wave
Pulled me right overboard
Into permanent morgasm
Emotional action painting
I flew down to the bottom of the sea
Where I questioned the fishes all about it
I was in heaven
Address cloud eleven
They danced and laughed spelling all I fell into was love

Truly XTC's most progressive album, Nonsuch.
XTC are the best musical discovery i ever made.

If i had that specific marijuana over here, i would vape it all night long, anything but complaining :) great song, really like it (Y)
the moment you realise some of us listened 2 the "wrong music" all those years ;)
User Fan lol I got a head start. I’m 14.
That lyric, that melody, that solo! That’s that.
longlasting effects of cannabis, not caused by a substance, purity of trance, dissociation. results of the test, chronic derealisation not the cause of drugs, dream about food, dreaming about dental care, dreaming about a lot of things, dreamed my the past away. maybe next time visit a store, buy a pair new glasses, so i can see through my bad eyes, that it's not a lack of good transquilizers. downers. ;)
Another stunner from Andy Partridge and XTC.
Cute. :)
Wonderful song. Creative and expressive playing from Dave Gregory on this!
C'mon man, let's be fair to Dave & Colin--"That Wave" is a song by XTC. ;)
maybe silence was or became the killer ?
This band was beyond brilliant.
For me, easily the best and most creative band of the last 40 years...
awesome drumming.
And guitar. The bass and vocals are fine too, but the percussion and guitar absolutely blow me away.
Yes- Dave Mattacks from Fairport Convention was the perfect choice. As brilliant a choice as Prairie Prince.
Amazing song. Why the hell haven't I heard this before in the past
XTC have done countless excellent songs, albums like Drums, Black and English don't have a bad song on them. Saying that they are not good as Magazine. Check out the album The Correct Use of Soap.
Maybe because it wasn't released on vinyl? Or was it? Was it? Where is it? I want one.
Lady Audio definitely on vnyl
