Lovely song , was the opening track from the recent TC&i gigs so it was the first XTC song ive heard live so it is a very special track to me.

This is the last song Colin ever recorded for XTC. The band was pretty much done, Andy and him hated each other and they wouldnt record together so Colin figured out that this could be his last chance to have the song released, so he went to the studio and recorded the song all by himself. Glad he did it.

I had no idea that is very interesting especially since I would rate this as a top5 xtc song.

See an unlikely parallel between XTC and NIN in that true artistry/unique talent goes largely unappreciated nowadays while bands like Slipknot garner 85 million hits.

COOL, Thom!! Wish I could've played drums on it. XTC, if you're looking for a drummer...25 years with a band, plus nearly 30 on my own.

Colin's been working on music a little bit recently according to the Chalkhills website.

How about if we can get this song on a new XTC release? I'd like it to be in my repertoire of XTC songs in iTunes!

Andy tweeted that he didn't play in this track and "This is Colin Moulding and Pugwash, Basically."

I played some piano on this. I've no idea how much remains of what I actually played though and how much got patched up or replaced. I remember being a very young lad, really really nervous and making a real meal out of it. I really don't know. Anyhow it's a massive honour, even if it's just a note or two surviving :-)

This band was / is The Beatles version 2.0. They should have been huge. Absolutely one of my fave bands of all time.

There may still be hope for a joint effort between Colin and Andy (maybe even Dave–now with Tin Spirits?), as Colin seems to be at least partially back into the music business, participating in Billy Sherwood's Prog Collective in 2012. Anyway, it's his life, and we shouldn't make demands on him.

That's pretty damn cool, no other way to say it, it's a wonderful song that says something meaningful. Way to go.

They really peaked right at the end when they quit. A shame they don't record more stuff together or even as solo artists.

I play Mellotron on this tune and I'm very proud that I did.....Thomas (Pugwash).

Wow! This is a great song (especially the Mellotron bits!). I've never heard it before. Just watched the XTC: This is Pop doc. One of the best pop bands ever.
