XTC - Radios In Motion Lyrics

There's a message up in China
That they getting in Japan
Bouncing off an ocean liner
Make em shake em in Siam
All the kids are complaining
That there's nowhere to go
All the kids are complaining
That the songs are too slow
All I'm saying is you're deaf
To the fact that there's ...
Radios in motion
Atmosphere to ocean
Radios in motion
Gets you out of your red white and blues
When we move then so do you'se
There's a message in Milwaukee
That they're getting in Moscow
Everybody walkie talkie
Everybody learning how
All the kids are complaining [etc...]

WOW-- shades of Elvis Costello & The Attractions!  This is a little-known 1978 gem from XTC's 'White Music' LP.  Kind of a thematic prelude to Queen's 'Radio Gaga' (?).  But the celebration of radio, especially fringe/avantgarde/'indie' music radio, was a common theme in the punk era (1977-1982) as radio represented the only real means to explore new music (aside from going to the right sort of clubs) in pre-MTV Britain.

@Jonnie Comet I think i heard this on the radio when it was first released the single from the album `Statue Of Liberty` was banned by The BBC due to the ` Sailed beneath your skirts` line. Saw them play at the Marquee club in London`s Wardour Street.
