Xandria - The Undiscovered Land Lyrics

I was born on a snowy winter's day
In a cradle of ice so cold
I was taken away when I was just a child
By the sign of the serpent gold

To the sun, to the oceans
To a land I have never discovered

Now my hands have been chained to the wheel for so long
I have seen all my fellows drown
But I cannot forget what they have done to me
I am breaking my cage and run

To the sun, to the oceans
To a land I have never discovered
There I will go, there is my hope
To find some peace someday

The moon is rising higher
We use the dark of the night
Invade the secret tower
Get out of sight

She is the queen of nowhere
She'll be the first and the last
To reach beyond my burden
Oh our candle burns so fast

You have taken my father
And you have taken my mother
You have poisoned the souls of the weak
But you are damned to die by the hands of your own seed

Years they pass by while my search goes on
For the ghost of the one that I loved
For I've lost my love in the rage of my revenge
So this journey will never end

To the sun, to the oceans
To a land I have never discovered
There I will go, there is my hope
To the seas, to the mountains
To the meadows I will never leave again
There I lay down, there is my crown
And love always

    Very Good!

  2. Ava

maybe someday xandria will come back despite three vocalists leaving-

    Shadow97

Tfw Dianne left as well. Arguably the best singer they ever had, and better than whoever they're gonna find instead.

Yhavecielos perdí a mi amor en la rabia de mi venganza ¿Entonces este viaje nunca terminará?

  8. d ja

Xandria is Legendary and Mystical. For other Genres I like to listen to Megaromania and also like Art Vs. Science and Japanese Vocaloid songs.

  9. Azrael

Los años pasaron mientras mi búsqueda continuaba por el recuerdo de la que alguna vez ame, por eso perdí a mi amor, en la rabia de mi venganza

    DannTheKillerxD

Así que este viaje nunca acabará.

    Sage Kate

Hacia el sol, y las montañas... Hacia una tierra que nunca he encontrado...
Ahí es donde iré, ahí será mi hogar para hallar al fin la paz.

  15. Josh McSwain

I realize nobody else may agree with me, but I was reminded of Meadows of Heaven by Nightwish hearing this.

    Tony Montana

So many Xandria songs reminds of Nightwish songs that Im sure many people will agree with you;)

  16. LEONIN

    Love this!

  17. Na'eem Ishani

amazing song but it's so sad. I like it.

Symphonic Metal is basically about sad things.. but it is great!!

    Josh McSwain

It doesn't always have to be sad, but I like the slow pace of this song too

    yotam olenik

  19. 1701Tex

Followed a link posted on Conan.com.  I think I have a new group to collect.

    allis one

@1701Tex Great ! That was me posting that. (Thomon). I was hoping more Conan fans would love this. It was Idyrhiannons post below that triggered me.

    Vampira

    @1701Tex
Cool i am a big fan of Robert E Howards Conan.
However i found this since i am a big fan of Xandria.

Love it even more now (if it´s possible...). :D

  20. tattooed grandma

I just realized that this song is the telling of the Conan the Barbarian story (movie version with Arnold). Awesome!!!

    allis one

@ldyrhiannon You are so right ! Thanks for that ! I cannot believe I did not recognize it myself as it is one of my all time favourite movies. There is a live performance of this song they did in Graz, near Tal, the birthplace of Arnold..

    tattooed grandma

@allis one It is one of mine as well.  I sometimes binge watch both Conan movies with Red Sonja.

  21. JmLyan

The part that begins at 2:25 gives me strong Lindsey Stirling vibes.

  22. Brigitte Mazoyer

    Envoûtant: ça fait du bien à l'âme :-) ♥

  23. foxta14

any one know or have any guesses of what this song is about?

    Vampira

    @foxta14
Personally i think the lyrics is what You personally want it to be.
Can be something from Conan cartoons if You want to be like him in your dreams or can be some metafors from the modern life of today, i think it´s up to You what You prefear.

    Josh McSwain

foxta14 I think it is based off Conan but also saying that revenge won't satisfy you but ultimately destroy you until you lose everything and that there are other ways to have real peace

  24. dalton

    This is perfect skyrim music

  27. Anders Midnatt

Only 5000 views for circa 3 months? This masterpiece deserves far, FAR MORE views, and there are all the possibilities for that.

    Jan Bradáč

I think we have fixed that issue somewhat :)

  28. A Grayson

    Wonderful as always...

  29. shibelbeg

old Xandria was great, but this is fucking epic awesome!

    Anders Midnatt

Their first singer, Lisa Middelhauve, resembles Sabina from "Finisterra", the second - Manuela Kraller - sing like Tarja Turunen, and now they have Dianne, who has powers similar to Floor Jansen's.
    P.S.: not only powers, but their vocal ranges are equal: Bb2 - E6 vs. Floor's B2 - F6.

    allis one

@Anders Midnatt Not only that, but they were born only 17 miles apart from each other. (Goirle and Liempde in the Netherlands) and to me they even look the same, same statue, same confidence, same strong professional and positive attitude. Only the headbanging is missing with Dianne, but I think she doesn't need it.
