Wright, Gary - Fascinating Things Lyrics

I believe a change has gotta come
They'll be fascinating things
I believe a change has gotta come
Get ready for the new things

Things that move ya, thrill ya, soothe ya
Things that cool ya, chill ya, fool ya
Things that groove ya, entertain ya
So you can't stay awake asleep
Many fascinating things

I believe a change has gotta come
They'll be fascinating things
I can see we're gonna have some fun
Getting into all the new things

Things that cool ya, rule ya, fool ya
Things that help ya through the day
Things that turn ya from a bad state of mind
And feeling real fine
They'll be fascinating things

Things that move ya, thrill ya, soothe ya
Things that cool ya, chill ya, fool ya
Things around ya just may suddenly change into better things
They'll be fascinating things

I believe a change has gotta come
Get ready for the new things
I believe a change has gotta come
They'll be fascinating things
I believe a change has gotta come
They'll be fascinating things

Wright, Gary Fascinating Things Comments

Love this song. Definitely Alan White on drums, who has always been to me such a fine player. Back then the style was called hard rock. Klaus Voorman on bass who used to play with John Lennon (went to art school with him, a great bass player but never a Beatle). Also Mick Jones on guitar, who later went onto Foreigner. Not rated as a great guitar player, but he did write some big hits with Foreigner, so he was a good song writer.

I’ve heard this and his Spooky Tooth stuff and Dream Weaver onwards , this is miles better in comparison!

But sometimes when you hand folks a bag of poop they are just glad it's in a bag

  4. M.... W....

I wish the music sounded right and didn't sound like a poop tart

Don't know but I wouldn't be surprised if that isn't the great Alan White on drum. Such power!

Been looking for this track since 77 when WNEW FM in NYC played it, tuning in one day I caught the last minute of it as it faded out with the awesome GW organ comps I punched the record button on my cassette deck catching that last minute.. . All the DJ said was " Gary Wright has had a solo career long before the Dream Weaver  album.." then my cassette recording cut out ! Ugh. . Finally I know what the track is and can listen full on now ! THANKS for the upload !

Extraction and Footprint are available on one CD. Worth buying.

  24. Z.... ....

If you're a Dream Weaver fan it's hard not to like this... after all it's Gary's inspiring voice still ringing out.... beautiful!

  25. j.... ....

Wow, this tune rocks! I had 3 Gary Wright albums, but didn't know he had solo albums before Dreamweaver, after he left Spooky Tooth. It's a great sounding tune & great recording, I would buy it. But I think it just doesn't have the catchy hook of Dreamweaver & Love Is Alive & maybe that's why this was never promoted.

    j.... ....

john , but it’s better! Just because it’s commercial Dream Weaver onwards !

  26. m.... ....

@AndrewNewZealand Geez, I couldn't tell you, Andrew. Try checking who actually played on the album itself.

  27. m.... ....

That's a young Alan White on drums who also played on Imagine by John Lennon, on All Things Must Pass and who eventually joined Yes.
