Wright, Gary - Can't Find The Judge Lyrics

I feel so helpless and did nothing wrong
They sent my woman off to a jail
She's guilty of no crime
'Cept for loving me
And the Justices' they didn't have no bail

I can't find the judge
I can't find no one to help me
No no no
I can't find the judge
He put my woman away
I can't find him nowhere
No no no no no

'Til I find the judge
Can't find no one to help me
No no
Somebody help me
I can't find the judge

It's such a crime to see her that way
She thought I cheated with another woman
But that woman was a friend
Now she's lying dead
Is there any justice in misunderstanding

I can't find the judge
I can't find no one to help me
No no no

I can't find the judge
He put my woman away
I can't find him nowhere
No no no no no

He took my woman away
'Til I find that man
Somebody help me
Took my woman away
No no
'Til I find the judge
Can't find no one to help me
No no no no

Somebody help me
He took my woman away
I can't find the judge
No no
Somebody help me find that man
'Til I find the judge
No no no
Took my woman away
Somebody help me

We toasted the second round coming right up
We be VIP we got new ways to light up

It's a shame that history repeats itself, maybe it is not the time that matters, just the spirit!

  10. M.... R....

  11. R.... H....

  12. M.... P....

    Just excellent!!!

  13. l.... ....

The whole album was in the can with the lead single "Made To Love You". The execs thought the 8-song product needed one more song. Gary told them that Dream Weaver wasn't ready. The execs said it was perfect, and the new lead single. For once, the execs got it right. But that speaks of the quality of the whole album.

  14. R.... C....

If Gary Wright goes to traffic court it's "Can't Find the Cop".

  18. j.... ....

Why isn't music like this anymore? I'm tired about rap degrading women and I don't know what the heck they're saying!!

    j.... ....

Plenty of rock songs do the same they just more tongue in cheek

  19. 7.... ....

Jim Keltner shreds on this whole LP-one of the best albums of the 70's

    7.... ....

@Matthew Barrows I wasn't offended music is very subjective-I am a fan of pop jazz, jazz fusion, and prog.I outgrew the whole Led Zeppelin Pink Floyd Doors and heavy metal thing when I was much younger. Most of my musical choices I am sure you would probably dislike based on your reaction to my choice of Dream Weaver being a classic LP.I do not judge anybody's personal music choices for a lot of mine are often ridiculed and laughed at.

    7.... ....

Actually, my musical preference isn't limited to a particular genre. I look for talented musicians in ANY genre. Rock is what I cut my teeth on but I thoroughly enjoy classical, jazz, etc. The problem with music these days is hip-hop has taken the "music" out of the industry.

    7.... ....

    @Matthew Barrows I couldn't agree more-do you like prog?My favorite bands are Steely Dan,Eagles,Boz Scaggs,Toto,Chicago,Poco,Firefall,Little Feat,Supertramp to name a few.

    7.... ....

@79steelymatt I have favorites for different reasons when it comes to rock/pop. There are the deeply talented ones like Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac to name but just a few. Then there are the tight bands that seems that every song they write sounds good. Eg.. The Eagles, Led Zep, & of course the Beatles, etc. And then you got bands that are truly artists. Topping that is by far, Pink Floyd. Watch the movie that accompany's the album "The Wall" if you have any doubts. Then the consummate performers, but not the most talented would be the Rolling Stones. I tell people who aren't really that into the genre, "If you see only one Rock show in your life, it's gotta be the stones" And lastly, There is the bands who the primary performers aren't that great but they have just something about their sound that's cool. George Thoroughgood and the Delaware destroyers top that list. And I can't leave out bands who live their music. Janis Joplin & Fleetwood Mac are great examples. Their troubles and life challenges are displayed publicly and that takes guts and talent to make that work. You can see the passion their live performances.
Yeah, R-n-R is mothers milk to me but like I said, I love any music from rock to classical as lonng as it's being done with taste and by those who know what it's about. Check out Joe Bonamassa he's a young hella talented guitarist I found on a pbs special. This guy shreds.

    7.... ....

I work at a university, and on those occasions when I discuss music with my students, I invariably hear something like, "Oh, the 70s; you like disco music, then?" It's a crying shame that this is how that wonderful decade for music of all kinds may be remembered! (I was watching a video and somebody said they had "work to do," which prompted me to go to iTunes and buy the Isley Brothers song; it in turn reminded me of this one!) And I'd add Gil Scott-Heron to the acts named here.
