Worley, Darryl - Pow 369 Lyrics

I was flying down the highway
Weaving in and out of traffic
I was racing time
An old man pulled out in front of me
And I went crazy as can be
I lost my mind
I blew my horn till I got close enough to see
And what was on his car-tag sure convicted me

POW 369
I should slaute you from this heart of mine
And thank you for placing your life on the line
For me, I'm free
I pray that the rest of your journey is a peaceful one
And may you take your own sweet time
Mr. POW 369

The things we take for granted
In this life we lead are tragic
We should be ashamed
He left his home and family
And cast his fate across the sea
Would we do the same
Well I sure bet he's got some stories he could tell
Ain't that many ever made it back from hell

POW 369
I should slaute you from this heart of mine
And thank you for placing your life on the line
For me, I'm free
I pray that the rest of your journey is a peaceful one
And may you take your own sweet time
Mr. POW 369

Let me thank you one more time
Mr. POW 369

As a two time wounded warrior project alumni I am glad he came to see us in Afghanistan and Iraq, then showed his support for us injured. As all of Darryl's songs, honest, true, factual, actual events, outstanding, awesome and tells the whole world what is going on and coming toward us. This man is the greatest man know and God gave him a mission of writing this type of music and none does it as good as Darryl and no great man or artist than him. Take the time if your not familiar with his music and life and check it out, will truly put your life in a different perspective and most of all, realize just how great a man this person is and all he does for others, and how much he loves God, Country and Family and would die for it, same as I. i came across Darryl's cd in the public library, based on trying something new, i found a star! The first week i heard POW 369, I was balling like a little boy, and i am not even in the army! Please give us a video, Darryl, this song beats all the soldier songs out there. There's something in the lyrics and the way u sing it that touched a chord inside of me, made a believer out of a civilian, it did.

i have never been in the army, but listening to this song made me appreciate all the service men and women out there laying their lives on the line for us at home. thank-you for this simple yet totally emotion-filled song, Darryl.

As a veteran of a foreign war, and one who has never seen the ugly side of war but know and have known many who have passed, will never tell you all they have seen for some the pain is too great. for others they have spent their lives trying to forget all they have seen and done. They are truly heroes for they are the men and women who have been to hell and come back but their friends never have. May they forever rest in peace and god grant them the peace and serenity they deserve.

This is my favorite Darryl Worley song. Lets never forget those who serve and those who gave all they had. When you see someone with one of these tags on there car and you have time please thank them. It means more to them than you will ever know.
