Wonder, Stevie - Travelin' Man Lyrics

Something deep inside of me
Keeps me moving aimlessly
Always been Always be
A lonely travelin' man
Something that I can't explain
Holding me from wind and rain
Wild and free and hard to tame
A lonely travelin' man

Travelin' Man
Travelin' Man
Got no goal got no plan
Just an old worn out heart in my hand
Travelin' Man
Travelin' Man
I'll get there anyway I can
I'm just an uninspiring tired out travelin' man

Please don't ask me where I've been
I've been alone through thick and thin
On the outside looking in
A lonely travelin' man

Something that I haven't found
Keeps me seeking all around
Moving on from town to town
A lonely travelin' man

Travelin' Man
Travelin' Man
Got no goal got no plan
Just an old worn out heart in my hand
Travelin' Man
Travelin' Man
I'll get there anyway I can
I'm just an uninspiring tired out travelin' man

Travelin' Man
Travelin' Man
Got no goal got no plan
Just an old worn out heart in my hand
Travelin' Man
Travelin' Man
I'll get there anyway I can
I'm just an uninspiring tired out...

Wonder, Stevie Travelin' Man Comments
  1. R.... M....

What album was it taken from?

    R.... M....

It was from his 1971 greatest hits vol. 2 album. 😊

  2. c.... j....

POOR ARRANGEMENT of ENDING. The ending was the APEX of the song. SO BEAUTIFULLY DONE BUT TOO SHORT, the song ended too soon. Big disappointment.

  3. D.... B....

this song went to #32 on the pop charts in 1967!!!

  4. p.... r....

Many compare this slightly less favorably to "A Place in the Sun"; I've always liked them equally, this one perhaps a bit more. 2/2019

  5. E.... O....

I love this song it brings me back many memories , Because i listen to it when i was in Viet Nam .

  6. j.... s....

When this charted in 1966, I had a Truetone radio console with a large speaker and it really enhanced the Bass track on this one. It was played often on 1510 WMEX by Dan Donovan's gold platter show, Aka Blaine Harvey..........

    my favourite Stevie Wonder song.....

    J.... C....

I always said the same; "Overjoyed" comes second. 12/2017 Happy Holidays!
