Wonder, Stevie - Creeping Lyrics

I can hear you sighin'
Sayin' you'll stay beside me
Why must it be
That you always creep...
Into my dreams

On the beach we're sittin'
Huggin', squeezin', kissin'
Why must it be
That you always creep...
Into my dreams
In my dreams

When I'm sleep at night babaa
I feel those moments of ecstasy
When you sleep at night babaa...
I wonder do I creep into your dreams
Or could it be I sleep alone in my fantasy

Oh, love is so amazing
Oh, oh, oh, ah, ah...
Guess you will be stayin'
So let it be
That you always creep...
Into my dreams
In my dreams

When I'm sleep at night babaa
I feel those moments of ecstasy
When you sleep at night babaa...
I wonder do I creep into your dreams
Or could it be I sleep alone in my fantasy

Oh, love is so amazing
Oh, oh, oh, ah, ah...
Guess you will be stayin'
So let it be
That you always creep...
Into my dreams
In my dreams
In my dreams
In my dreams
In my dreams
In my dreams
In my dreams
In my dreams
In my dreams

Wonder, Stevie Creeping Comments
  1. L.... C....

This happens to me everyday throughout the day, but, it is so moving to me!!!!

  2. c.... ....

    Luther Vandross covered this, too!

  3. S.... B....

I was living at Key Biscayne, Fl.
when this song was red hot ! !
I had a major crush on another
guy there. His name was Chris
Miles. I think he moved to Key
    Biscayne from I think Virginia.
I have very deep memories of
    him and beautiful Key Biscayne.
This song creepin by Stevie was
a god send for me at that time.
I play this song often. In my mind,
no one will ever match this song.

  4. C.... P....

I thought this song was original to Luther Vandross, I didn't know it was a remake of a Stevie Wonder song.

  5. c.... ....

STEVIE' voice is perfect...you can see why LUTHER loved this also

  6. R.... J....

    Lord Lord

  7. T.... G....

Phenomenal. Absolute virtuosity. 40 years I'm still in awe. And dancing.

  8. E.... H....

A man without sight with so much insight would his music had sounded differently if he had been able to see yes I think it would have I believe most songwriters are inspired by what they see around them Stevie on the other hand had a deeper perspective of life and things around him and you hear it in a lot of his music songs like this one in particular what an amazing Soul this man has thank you Stevie for sharing your perspective of the world with us musically love you, peace

  9. S.... S....

STEVIE WONDER IS THE ULTIMATE MUSICIAN. PRAY FOR STEVIE. PRINCE AND STEVIE. EVERYBODY ELSE, SIT DOWN.

  10. C.... ....

Both of these artist's ahead of their time.. the late beautiful voice of Minnie Riperton 🎶🎶🎶💙💙💙

    C.... ....

Charisse Right! Angelic voice. Deneice (Nicey) Williams sang background for him too before she hit it big with the “ This is Nicey” album. The best had the best backing him up.❤️👏🏽

  11. k.... I....

😲😲😲wow! I never heard or knew this is where Luther got that song from. I love Stevie Wonder bro.

  12. t.... ....

This Stevie Wonder guy is pretty good.

  13. B.... W....

I remember when they would play the one side of the album especially at night when the F.M. station had kool D.J's

  14. s.... p....

This is tangible proof of thee living Lord God Almighty.... Having bestowed upon Stevie a gift of creating music,..( and very enjoyable, soul soothing music at that), out of what seems like thin air.

  15. T.... D....

Wow...I am seven years old again!!! This whole album still gives me life 45 years later!!

  16. C.... F....

The only Male other than Stevie that could pull this off was Luther.

  17. M.... F....

the album cover has a lot of hidden mystery to it - the piano ascending up thru the different levels is his vehicle for that journey - the bull on his forehead is the sign of Taurus - his sign in astrology- the elephants coming acriss the middle are his African heritage - the red car with the log coming thru the windshield  was an accident in North Carolina that almost took his life - to left on the bottom is a Grammy Award of which he has many - the year 1974 was magic in many ways - musically historically etc fun facts I thought you might enjoy

  18. m.... ....

    Once a Year.

  19. E.... K....

Minnie Julia Riperton-Rudolph singing the background soulfuling beautifully!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

  20. r.... ....

The name of the song is in my dreams

  21. D.... S....

I always thought Luther did this first lol

    D.... S....

Stevie wrote a lot of songs for people or did them before they did. [I can't help it] by Michael Jackson is another one he wrote.

  22. E.... H....

The beautiful off key synthesiser make this so beautiful

  23. A.... R....

    STEVIE!

  24. L.... T....

Stevie did it and Luther prefected it and that's had to do because Stevie is Bad

  25. T.... r....

This is my favorite Stevie Wonder song

  26. C.... H....

Man we had good music back then, imagine you're a young cat and you're used to the happy Stevie, then he entered his conscious phase and this came out? This even made you think. Go back and look at pictures of Stevie, he was on point, good looking and writing like nobody's business. Great times with Fulfillingness' First Finale!

  27. Y.... F....

Having that dream about the love you almost had. Boy quit creepin in my dreams. ❤️

  28. R.... E....

who does not like Mr. Wonder. if u dont your sick.

  29. J.... R....

    A masterpiece.

  30. B.... R....

Lost my mind to this album back in 2001. First manic episode. Took me down like the Lusitania. But I still like the music. Luther's version is good too.

  31. M.... D....

Hard to believe I was only 19 years old when this came out! Still listening in 2019!

  32. T.... W....

    Masterfully executed Key board work

  33. L.... J....

Sie erscheinen immer in meinen Träumen.

  34. p.... ....

  39. T.... S....

All Keyboards Played By Stevie And Drums From Blewfoot....

  40. J.... S....

Why is it that Biden's commercials are creepin' into these great songs. What has he done for our people? Great Stevie Wonder ballad. Thank you.

  41. C.... ....

I never knew Stevie sung this until I heard this song on the radio. I thought it was Luther. I never knew Luther did so many covers.

  42. A.... B....

Jazz-tinted R&B at its finest. What a song, what an artist!

  43. R.... m....

Now that is a love song.

  44. M.... B....

Had no ideal Stevie wonder did this .

  45. F.... R....

Classic Steveland! My Jam here! Played the grooves off of this Album! Love me some Stevie! Stevie is a beast on that harmonica! Why must it be, you always creep in my dreams. . . Much Love!

  46. T.... S....

This has been stuck in my head so I had to listen to get over it

  47. G.... J....

I say this on every Stevie Wonder video but his unusual chord progressions are amazing. What pop music does that anymore? You can tell it's a Stevie song by his music alone. You know you're good when you have Minnie Riperton as background singer.

  48. A.... B....

sheesh still fire till this day!!!

  49. S.... D....

    First Stevie than Luther!! Masterpieces.

  50. E.... H....

No disrespect to Stevie but who else hears Luther killing this song.....?????😭😭😭

    E.... H....

Luther Vandross already did his cover of this song in 1985 on his "The Night I Fell in Love" album.    His version was good.  BUT … I LOVE Stevie's original, which I first heard as a child in the 1970s.

  51. D.... I....

Wow...Luther Vandross cut this....I had no idea it was a Stevie creation

  52. A.... O....

    😀😀😀!!!

  53. S.... A....

What a BEAUTIFUL track from Stevie’s golden era.

  58. G.... C....

Sttevie wonder is the Greatest Michigan stand the fuck up

  59. J.... W....

Luther did ok, but there's nothing like the original! Having Minnie Riperton singing backup don't hurt either!!

  60. d.... f....

It sounds odd to compare Stevie Wonder and Gino Vannelli, but I certainly hear it, especially halfway through...

  61. A.... H....

  79. I.... w....

can't get this song out my head for the last two days

  80. S.... W....

I have forgotten more great music than I have heard in the last 5 years.

  81. R.... ....

During the early 80's at home ,I was turning the radio dial on my aunt's stereo in her room to find some music to do my homework to, and I caught the tail end of this song. Just "in my dreams..." over and over till the end. I was hooked but I had no clue as to what this song was. The radio station host was interviewing Stevie but he never said the name of the song that just finished playing. This was way before Google and YouTube and no-one in my household knew what " In my dreams" by Stevie was. So after school the next day I went to the record shop and bought all the Stevie Wonder records they had. About 7 of them. Took them all home, put them on my record player and quickly played a snippet of each track on both sides of each record. I was just about ready to give up because I was on the last record when I heard it....I put the needle to the beginning of the track and I was in love. And every time I hear it ,it brings me right back to that day...It's a blessing I never forget...

  82. p.... a....

This has always been for me a favorite album from Stevie!

  83. p.... a....

This as always been for me a favorite album from Stevie!

  84. T.... C....

    This song is incredible... 😫

  85. G.... T....

Listen to Minnie in the background. This song is perfection.

  86. r.... e....

steive's music of this time was
quite often very sophisticated and jazz influenced.......back then commercial radio was more inclined to play this kind of stuff.....but today....every thing is just processed and similar...stevie did go commercial though with things like.....i just called....and some others.....one of the all time great artists and composers....

  87. S.... S....

So glad to have lived in an era of REAL MUSIC.
