Wolfe, Chelsea - Pale On Pale Lyrics
When the light in your eyes goes out for the last time
When your hands are tied pale on pale and mind on mind
When your body is swollen with blood and ocean floor is swollen with sun
When the light in your eyes goes out for the last time
When your mind is open

Wolfe, Chelsea Pale On Pale Comments
Chelsea Wolfe is def into gore of the hardest sources to seek, 100%.
That first second reminded me of, of, of. I had to think for a minute and then I knew: A Dying God by Celtic Frost. Just that bass sound.
“And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor, Shall be lifted -- Nevermore!”
Lyrics:
When the light in your eyes
Goes out for the last time
When your hands are tied
Pale on pale and mind on mind
When your body is swollen with blood
And ocean floor is swollen with sun
When the light in your eyes
Goes out for the last time
When your mind is open
When your mind is open
When your mind is open
When your mind is open
Trevosa de mais!!!
(^-^)
AAAAAAAAAA <3
*let me spend 7 minutes thinking of something edgy to say instead of listening to the song*
As it goes in times like this, quick on the trigger, forget depth, gotta shine for the masses and show how good I am at being inept!
Im watching the movie Hannibal and this vocal melody sounds just like the score of that film. I wonder if it is a coincidence Chelsea had another song on a commercial for the Hannibal tv show!
Heavy! Bass riffs remind me of some Psychedelic Rock/Stoner Doom Metal songs
Coven of the Gothic Chanteuses:
If Chelsea Wolfe was the Acolyte, Liz Fraser would be the High Priestess, Lisa Gerrard would be a Psychopomp, and Miss Diamanda Galás herself would be the Goddess.
A song about battling dark thoughts, facing them, and wanting to go on........
I fucking love Chelsea how do I even express it 😂
I can't help but get the feeling Chelsea's trying to summon... _something..._
The horse is the white of the eyes.
holy shit. I found myself looking at the video like "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!" and I couldn't stop fucking listening and I loved it!
More black metal than deafheaven. seriously, as an obnoxious death/thrash/black metal fan, I still love me some Chelsea Wolfe. Much appreciated talent.
AxHakker mostly skill. A little talent
this song is giving me the spooks
shitmouth
this sounds like Morphine without a sax.
wtf is this comment section? xD
sounds like something david lynch would use in one of his movies. very cool, nice to chase with!
What the hell? You compare Chelsea to David Lynch? It's like comparing classical music to Trap and Bass....
no its not, the hells wrong with you?
A very "Pink Room" mood yeah. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bij6d-KU4aA
i would love to use pale on pale fore one of my rituals.
alexis corral that's cool
alexis corral played this song while doing my first blood scene with my ex.. it haunts me.
Rituals what the fuck??
witchcraft and music go together so well
Grande artista. O som de suas músicas hipnotiza.
this is THE best song of CH.W
Fuck Doom !
co ty oči
+William Schmiedt Co se ti nezdá ?
+Drugs Fader budeme kámoši
This track: Chelsea Wolfe meets Black Sabbath.
Perhaps, it's closely! But I feel more Drone Metal (like Boris or Earth) type of influence in this piece!
This song reminds me of something I can't describe.
+Dylan Crane not even as "indescribable?"
your point?
@_fragile I'm indescribably hungry.
George Kaplan looking back at this comment after years, I would have say it reminds me of Bette from Mulholland Drive meets Silent Hill 3.
is there anything else like this? with this feel of music?
+ClaimhSolais No, I mean all of them.
@Aetas Vetus
Apokalypsis is more ethereal wave influenced than doom, that's why I mentioned the above artists.
Darkher, FVNERALS, King Woman, Miserable.
Know of all those bands apart from Darkher (and love them). Off to check out Darkher.
soap&skin
I wanna weep while listening to this song while having sex outside in the pouring rain
i like having sex listening to chelsea wolfe when i'm on the bus going down a dark road in a smushy mellow foggy rain. and i'm going toward some county fair or something or maybee it's a pageantry of some sort...i dunno
bla. blabla bl albla. bla blaa.
After the NYC scare, she can change her name to Chelsea Coyote
how i enjoy over explaining a bad joke
@nick zinc I dont get it either. Im from England though ao i guess i wouldnt?
@nick zinc :)
@nick zinc Assuming people know that Chelsea is a place in Manhattan was your mistake.
i said nyc

5:52 Mike Schank scream from "American Movie"
+Kileah Adkins Thanks for the curious info! Even though it spoiled the eerieness of that part... haha
I want to go flower picking
@Iloovecereal me too!
i love this song
Solid album!
this is the most erotic armageddon-themed dirge i've ever heard
yes, dirge. that's the word i was looking for^^
Reading through the comments here. Apparently everyone who likes this song is a top-notch person.
it's good I learn new english words from you :) "top-notch" :)
It's good I Darude - Sandstorm
One of my absolute favorites among Chelsea's songs!!! :)
I can imagine someone snorting cocaine to this.
@VL Productions No coke, Opiates like Heroin often used back in the old days of Goth t'fits better with the feel of the music/"genre".
+VL Productions I can imagine someone drinking a particularly dark blend of mushroom tea to this...
Shooting heroin and having sex
Shooting Villiages with families and children.. Future goes dark.. Vengeance lead to dark things indeed....
You're all fucking gay
music to smoke too :D
This is amazing..
so in the spirit of PJ Harvey
Yes it is! I feel a darker mood from Chelsea rather than Polly's, which suffers from lovelessness or absence. Both are truthfully deep singers.
Pure evil! +1 :)
R A D <3 !!
6:38 Sounds so like the start of Bauhaus' Double Dare
Is she conjuring demons or exocising demons?
I was just being sarcastic towards your comment, lady...lol
@ kash - honey this sorceress bitch would cast a spell on you or your car. but my kitty cat might tag your car with an exercise. lol a lot.
@ leo - sweetheart i figured you were i thought u were. 12 hr. type spacing must mean u live in europe. anyhow, metallic kissez from ure sister in NYC.
@Darlene-Ashley Cheleze your the shit Ashley love it much.
ty - sweets
She IS the demon.
It's so Doom Metal. 3
This music can cure AIDS
Absolutly, you could think it's just freezes the bad cells because it's so cold, but no! it actually kills them ;)
This song is a doorway to another realm. A chilling place of dark, arcane pleasures. After hearing it, it always takes me a few minutes to slide back to our somewhat stale reality.
+Aaron R. Walker You sound like someone who thinks much like i do
Only the best of music does this
..μολις την ανακαλυψα.και γουσταρω...!!!...Ροσπυ δω.!!!
One of my favorite Chelsea Wolfe songs. And this album is amazing
Careful with that axe, Chelsea
haha nice r.waters reference there. i think the same thing every time
in love
Anybody know where I can buy this album? It's not on iTunes or on Amazon (at least not for a reasonable price).
Nevermind, found it on bandcamp for $7.99
When the light in your eyes goes out for the last time
So relaxing
ınsomnia, excessive sleeping, fatigue
I enjoy this song please up load some more.
ananı avradınısikim bunelan o_O
asıl sen nesin lan :D
Beth gibbons meets pj Harvey and David lynch. Awesome
Beth gibbons méretes
This to me sounds like post-metal. The instrumentals remind me of Neurosis.
Rachel Wehri. She's so heavy. Newest lp
Is fucking heavy and thick.
Good observation. Lol.
way to completely miss the point
beyond words_perfection
That music is so depressing
Post pentastar Earth. I wouldn't call it post-rock though.
DOOM CHELSEA!
Early drone Earth or Post-Rock Earth?
spaccano
Fantastic song, lulled me into a crushing daydream.
Like my ears just orgasmed!!!
chelsea... good god.. my favorite... moses being my christian name
MOAR COWBELL...err...I mean...REVERB
really love her music
The voice needs more reverb...lol
sounded like a true fucking hipster right there
Doom fuzz
I just saw her at FYF :)
This sounds as though P.J. Harvey decided to perform sludge/drone/doom rock. Very, very impressive work!
Sometimes it's like everything I listen to makes me so frustrated, but then I put on Chelsea Wolfe and it's just ecstasy.
I do hear a bit of Electric wizard in this. Soundgarden was not this grimy and gritty except on Ultramega Ok through some of Badmotorfinger, but even then, it wasn't this heavy and repetitve. I don't know how Black Keys got mixed into this, I don't actually like their sound at all.
this particular cut reminds me of Skullflower
You cheap skunt.
aww man, I forget what show they played but they were one of several opening bands that I missed. It's so fuckin weird these days. Used to be, you rolled up at around ten and maybe you missed a few songs from the opening act. Since I started going to shows again, after a long hiatus, I keep forgetting that 10:00 PM in 2013 usually means the headliner is going on. Damn me straight to hell... I really like this. I guess I'm gunna have to leave by 8 from now on.
this is dead can dance fused with earth/OM
have you informed the Vatican?
nice, i was thinking bjork meets the black keys meets electric wizard
I find it ironic the same people that complain about the decreasing quality of current popular music can name a ton of underground or indie artist I get what you’re saying but whether or not an artist stays underground is entirely their choice you can’t make someone’s livelihood YOUR personal commodity based solely on the chance that their music might start to suck
i forgot how good this was
i really dig chelsea. she's going on the swans/sleep/ministry playlist
Singing like Elizabeth Fraser!
Haunting! Great!
Yes. there's an obvious influence here.
Haha you read my mind. Earth is fucking prime!
Ever heard Earth?
