Wolf Parade - Yulia Lyrics
Diamonds in the face of night time
Watch them as they float along
I was up there floating with them
And you know that I am gone
The radio sings a patriot's song it's the devil that you know
We were standing on the platform
The favorite sons of history
While you're back in Prostronaya
Writing in your diary
They flip on switch at mission control and I'm never coming home
Yulia
Oh! I woke up from a fever dream
Oh! Of floating in the salty sea
and my heart beats slow and I hope they
Bring my body back
Yulia
So when they turn the cameras on you
Baby please don't speak of me
Point up to the dark above you
As they edit me from history
I'm 20 million miles from a comfortable home
And space is very cold
Yulia
There's nothing out here nothing out here nothing out
nothing out here nothing out here there's nothing out here
nothing nothing out here nothing out here nothing nothing out

I was at Expo 86 wandering around amazed, with my older cousins.. we had cool grandparents. Cool song!
The best song on Expo 86 and possibly the best thing Wolf Parade has ever done, in terms of sheer emotional force and resonance.
It's me!!!!
2018😎😎
This was a great episode of Black Mirror 👍
Aidan Ainsworth :: Modest Mouse Announce Fall 2017 Tour Dates | SPIN
This band don't just do songs, they do gut wrenching epic tales of loss and love and everything in between. Hugely underrated.
If you think Wolf Parade sounds so much like Modest Mouse that you cant hear it as its own sound you have no idea what Spencer Krug or Isaac Brock find appealing.
what a song!
this song reminds me of hard times back then when I was a teen. And it always helps me to overcome difficulties. Such a powerful song.
This is a true story. The main character was a Russian astronaut. Who became stranded in space. The majority of the lyrics are translations of his transmissions from space.
Seriously?!
Not even slightly true. It's based on the mostly untrue urban legend of the Soviet black space program.
Wow, this is boring
You have a poor lack of taste.
I love this song.
I have no clue why Wolf Parade isn't one of the most listened to musicians. I tell everyone I know about them and the worst retort I've gotten was "yeah they're really good".
They're very early-2000s indie. What that means is there's a hundred bands that sound just like them.
tell me just one band that sounds like wolf parade
Modest Mouse.
Wolf Parade and side project Sunset Rubdown, love love love. Yulia video is a short masterpiece.
Princess Chelsea Sucks!!
@WanderingIdiot81 Also, I'm crying dammit! Every time
+WanderingIdiot81 Fuck you. You bring me here, then you insult Princess Chelsea. Go fuck yourself.
Beautiful story, orgasmic music, meaningful lyrics.
Though it's less than 100,000 views, named Yulia couldn't wish for more.
Thank you.
"There's nothing out here".
Another Yulia joining the club.
I've had several dreams where I was the one sent away from earth.
i kinda like when stuff dont got alot of views, keeps it rare underground and off the mainstream radio. wolf parade is raw. did the goverment blow up the space shit on him?
Well, it's a wonderful name, and few bear it, just as few have heard of Wolf Parade. You're in good company.
Please release a new album
It would make my life <3
They will
ofc

good luck
New album out now, July 2017. VIVA LA Wolf Parade!
cryin everytime I see this
How am I just hearing this today for the first time!!!?!
@Chelsea Martinez Exactly what I'm thinking as well. This is just awesome, no idea how I haven't heard of this band before.
well i knew the band just from one song "I'll believe in anything " you gotta listen to it
@Chelsea Martinez No way, me too! :D. I thought it was a british band at first, that song is great!
Because main stream media is flooded with crap. You will never hear of bands like this. Unless you are looking for them
Yeah me too
For sure
Il loro miglior pezzo, rispetto
I think im responsible for alot of these views! What a great touching song!
I first heard this song when I was at Airborne school, at Fort Benning. The first time we got ready to jump, and I had my helmet and chute ready, I was terrified, but somehow remembering this song made it all seem a little more easier. I've listened to this song on almost every jump since.
Who the fuck is cutting onions in here?
amazing vid & song.
reminds me of Arcade Fire's first EP, I love it!
"I hope they bring my body back." Good Christ this song (and video) are out of this world (pun intended)
True, but could also be based on the story of Vladimir Komarov. As the Soyuz 1 plummeted down to Earth he apparently cursed the ground control for letting him die and gave them a message for his wife.
The lead singer got it from the Lost Cosmonauts theory and a documentary on the Soviet space program, but unfortunately, Komarov never cursed ground control and never mentioned his wife
It's a good story though, and a much more likely theory than most
oh this vid just ruins my day
fucking great though
This is so beautiful ❤
My feels... Seriously! On the bright side, I found a new band. Too bad they're gone.
The Russian in the recording was full of Russian grammatical errors and she did not use standard Soviet communication protocols. The Recordings are a hoax.
to all the yulias out there :)
Perfection
basically, she could not live without him.
I spent last year flying over Afghanistan. This song, in part, got me through.
This video is just perfect
I was holding back tears the entire song. When he started singing "There's nothing out here", I couldn't hold them back anymore. This is the Wolf Parade I fell in love with.
YULIAA YULIAA YULIA yulia (8)
Amazing powerful video great song I enjoyed this very much
Emile Hirsch?
think that was the point
I go around tons of songs thinking "This must be the most beautiful song ever", On Melancholy Hill, Friday I'm In Love, you name it, then when I hear Yulia i almost want to cry... it is by FAR the most beautiful thing ever written, EVER. This is the essence of a beautiful song, so filled with purpose, I love it! SO MUCH! Thank you Wolf Parade, for the one song i have actually cried to! <3
MASON SILVA
This video should really be marked NSFW. I think my coworkers heard me sobbing.
Rest in peace, fallen pioneers. When we look upon the stars, we embrace you in our hearts.
That's the guy who wrote Us Ones In Between... Mind fuck.
For the heroes of the Soviet cosmos.
Wow! That's all I can say to how good Wolf Parade is. A sad song and video, but holy shit Wolf Parade is just too good
i came, multiple times
I'm glad Wolf Parade has a official video again. Did they hate official videos? Neither Spencer or Dan appears on it.
I'll Believe in Anything, for example, is glorious.
Beautiful song, beautiful video.
That was pretty great.
Love it, can't remember the last time Wolf Parade had an official video haha.
Wolf Parade never ceases to impress!
