This kinda music takes me back to the days when I really enjoyed music from the bottom of my freaking heart...
There were so many bands that sound like this and this band was one of my top favorite.

I miss this tyler carter. Young and singing his heart out. This album is pure nostalgia for me. I'm happy to say I got to see the OG line up and I ended up meeting my wife at that show❤

I believe one of the reasons that people liked Woe, Is Me so much is because their songs didn't follow a predictable formula. Like, it wasn't: Intro -> Verse -> Chorus -> Breakdown -> Verse -> Chorus, like a lot of modern metalcore bands follow. Instead, Woe, Is Me's work was just a lovely assault on your ears that flowed without repetition.

I miss Michael's low screams in Issues. This is when he was best in my opinion.

every vocalist that did lows back in '010 doesnt do them anymore, Bohn, Benton, Shomo, and thats just the rise bands

shomo's vocals are ass now. his lows were dirty and what he was good at sorta like how austin carlile is best at high screams.

beyond that ben ferris was the one doing lows in woe is me as backing for bohn. bohn can do lows but those really crazy sounding lows are ben im fairly certain.

issues is amazing but i dislike Michael's screams in their new album..i understand he is losing his voice but yea. his screams in this album is amazing.

he isnt losing his voice at all, he just isnt using the same vocal effects on his voice, potentially different mic/pa set up as well as the fact that the lows were actually ben ferris doing backing vocals. watch the vengeance music video. all those super sick lows were ferris.

I like the drumming in this album more than issues

NUMBER[S] BY FAR BEST ALBUM FROM WOE, IS ME. i cant stop listening to it, its more faster and heavier in my opinion, genisis is just slow and boreing...and all the songs basically sound the same, but whatever it is what it is. :)

People just choose to enjoy certain bands because of their members. I think both the new WIM and Issues are good bands, but people choose to dislike Woe, Is Me just because there's no Tyler Carter. I think it's pretty stupid.

Genesis was okay I guess. The quality of music went down incredibly. I do not much care for their new screamer, whether that be his lyrics or his vocals, but I love Hance. Black Diamonds was great, but I still love the "original" Woe, Is Me's style so much.

I don't hold a grudge against either band but I just think Genesis is boring. OPINION. Don't murder me.

The only song that's even remotely appealing to me off of Genesis was A Story to Tell, and I have a hard time enjoying it, seeing how it's another diss track. I'm not even pissed that it's towards Issues, diss tracks are fucking retarded in general (even with as much as I love King of Amarillo).

Genesi[s] is amazing, Hance Alligood is an amazing singer. And yes the fans were butt hurt because they love Tyler Carter and Michael Bohn, which is why the reviews "show it" as you said... But everyone should embrace it, its a new style for Woe Is, Me and i like it... you may not agree but that is your opinion and you are entitled to it and i respect it, so try being the least bit lenient next time. (I also love black diamonds, and i agree that people should love both.)

Not trying to bash your opinion, but Genesis was absolute shit, and the reviews and fan reception show it.

No they didnt. Issues only has the old vocalists Tyler & Michael from Woe, Is Me. Cory and Ben Ferris (bass and keyboard) from W,IM quit issues before it started.

Most of the original band members made a band called "Issues" they represent the old Woe, Is Me :)

Issues is pretty close to this. It just has more noticeable electronics. And it is missing a lot of the melodic riffs that this album had. But on a better note you don't hear the exact same breakdown three or four times in each song.

Issues has both vocalists so I guess they are as close as you're going to get
