puny74 when you listen progressive metal you gta throw time signatures out the window. It really doesnt matter. Also. Most ALL of the time its only 4/4 but the down beat is on 3. There are NOT changing signatures at all those are just short bridges. basically a memorized part between the band members at the same twmpo as the song. You can pull stuff like off when you spend years playing with a set of people, or just playing for years in general. Hope this helps
