Christ told his disciples that Samarita had been blessed by the Holy Spirit and that they must go there, Simon Magus (A prophet largely considered the catalyst too 'Gnosticism'), was a Samaritan and is coined with the writing the Pistis Sophia. It also could be referring to Simon Magus in the, I believe Acts of the Apostles offering money for the Holy Spirit from (I think, Peter?)
