Wilson, Brian - I'm Feeling Sad Lyrics

Sunday morning but I don't care
Settle into my easy chair
Take a look at the paper and throw it away

Take a walk to the grocery store
Can't remember what I came for
No place to go but I'm on my way

'Cause it's sad when you're not at home
Sad 'cause I'm all alone
Sad as a guy can be

But I'm sad when you're not at home
Sad 'cause I'm all alone
Sad as a guy can be

And it's all right in front of me
I was too blind but now I see
That it's so hard to be alone
Waiting here at home

I read the paper 'cause you're not there
Sunday morning but I don't care
Just want you to know
I'm feeling sad

I really like this album, some so-called Brian fans don't. This is the kind of music that Brian wants to produce now and I think it's great. Light and breezy

Brian's music reaches so many places in my soul and lift me up. It has inspired me to tell my story that I've held inside for many years. It's similar to Brian's and needs to be shared so others can be strengthened by knowing they aren't alone. Thanks Brian for your gift of genius that touches the hearts, minds and souls of so many.

    So short

the upbeat music reflects Brian's desire to shake these Sunday morning blues. Wishing they would go away. Waiting and looking for something to spark his interest, then he can follow it through a door into an inspiring moment that will lead to a meaningful day.. The first line says it all ..."Sunday morning , but I don't care"- but Brian Wilson DOES care, ALOT and I think it bugs him when he feels something's missing.( When your best friend isn't around) I can relate. Thank you Brian Wilson :) for a song that sparked my interest. Just want you to know, It made me feel better until My beautiful wife comes home from shopping

Great song--kinda like busy doing nothing.

I don't think this melody sounds "sad." I think it sounds too upbeat.  The lyrics maybe are, but I don't think the melody is.
