I was jammin on my guitar today while smoking a blunt (I like to take tokes while I hold some chords and listen to the birds chirping along), I felt the ash fall to my fingers while I was strumming and I soon realized that the tip of it would hit the guitar ever so slightly every now and then... That's funny, my Dad absolutely loved this song. One of his all-time favourite Willie Nelson songs. Maybe that's why I had to have the cassette tape imported from the US to Oz especially for him because it was unavailable at the time he told me about it and I went looking for it for him at the local music store. But then he and my mum had broken up and yet still loved each other very much. I guess I understood what this song really meant to him and why I had to get it for him, even though I hadn't even heard it. I knew he had to have it.
