I finally found a lady (or she found me. 😂) when I l least wanted a relationship. I’ve been married to her for 28years now. It’s not easy,, Not supposed to be, but it’s good. I first got into Willie while in the Army around 1974/75 when Red Headed Stranger came out. Phases and stages was the next album I purchased. Love the story lines of the songs and how they connect. I remember purchasing most of his early albums right up to RHS in the bargain bins at ALCO or Walmart in Junction City, Kansas. With so many of the greats like Merle, George, Johnny and others leaving us, we need to put Willie in bubble wrap! Thank you Marianne for posting this!

Amen Marvin, in my opinion he is the BEST country artist what makes him uniques to me is the fact that his guitar is so old & rugged that he tried over the years to get if professionally fixed & couldn't without causing more damage to the guitar so naturally Willie just couldn't give up his guitar with all the holes & rips in it...... THAT IS WHAT MAKES HIS UNIQUE SOUND THAT NO ONE CAN EVER DUPLICATE HIS PLAYING!
He is awesome & I'm so glad I got to see him at Jazz Fest a few years ago
