Willie Nelson - Blue Skies Lyrics
I bless the day I found you
I want to stay around you
And so I beg you, let it be me
Don't take this heaven from one
Now and forever, let it be me
Each time we meet love
I find complete love
Without your sweet love what would life be
So never leave me lonely
Tell me you love me only
And that you'll always let it be me
I find complete love
Without your sweet love what would life be
So never leave me lonely
Tell me you love me only
And that you'll always let it be me

The Quieter You Are The More You Can Hear
Trigger sounds so sick.
It's funny how in this song blue represents happy emotions, eg 'blue skies' and 'blue birds', where in every other song 'blue' and 'blues' mean sad.
Love this Song !!!
i performed this song in class :) ahh good memories
Walter White cooking in Albuquerque`s desert.
This song. Oh man. I was driving from Arizona to Kansas to see my mom before she passed (it was gonna be any time as she had turned). I had been driving and pulled into a rest stop somewhere past Tucumcari to get a stretch and this came on the radio. I sat and listened to it and cried because my mom would have nothing but blue skies there on. I learned she had passed right around the time I would have been listening to this song. ❤
Chemtrails gone.
Thank the Lord.
Blessed days ahead for Humanity.
🕊🦁💞
This is such an underrated song. The chord progression is just stunning.
This guys's Thoughts exactly
not really underrated, willies version may be underrated but most jazzers know this tune, its a standard originally by irving berlin thats been covered by lots of great jazz singers, you should check out ella fitzgeralds version
@TheGage I judge underrated by how often I hear it played on the radio. Glad to hear the jazz world appreciates it.
It is so understated. He has quite a few instruments, but very few notes. (Electric guitar, acoustic guitar, piano, organ, harmonica, drums, violins, cello, bass, xylophone)
I always think of patch Adams when I hear this song
Our wedding dance song 39 years ago today ❤️

Love you Star and Little Bits. Hope I'll see you again.
How can anyone give this song a thumbs down its a beautiful song ✌💕 to all
Used to be a bar in this small town, Huachuca City, Arizona . . . "Stardust" . . . in the 60's. Had an in-the-round bar AND a large room for dancing with a stage. Brought in some 'name' acts! Music used to mean something when there wasn't so much media around. The people who built so much for so many of you. And now? You just want to bicker & fight and make money and rape girls.
Blue skies smilin' at me
Nothin' but blue skies do I see
Bluebirds singin' a song
Nothin' but blue skies from now on
I never saw the sun shinin' so bright
Never saw things goin' so right
Noticing the days hurrying by
When you're in love, my how they fly by
Blue days, all of them gone
Nothin' but blue skies from now on
****************
Blue skies smilin' at me
Nothin' but blue skies do I see
Blue days all of them gone
Nothin' but blue skies from now on
Blue skies smilin' at me
Nothin' but blue skies do I see
Blue days all of them gone
Nothin' but blue skies from now on
Blue skies smilin' at me
Nothing but blue skies, do I see
Blue days all of them gone
Nothin' but blue skies from now on.....
My absolute favorite rendition of my favorite song. I could listen all day, but it makes me want to cry.

Jazz and country...not bad willie...not bad at all
Rip grandpa ❤️❤️
Bluesky met Pot Belly Pig on a bright sunny day, they had nothing in common, but that was ok..they say opposites attract, and that is true. Bluesky and Pot Belly were friends thru and thru..to see them together made your heart sing..aint the world a wonderful thing...
don't have any great stories like the others in the comment section, but found this song through a book I was reading.
This song is beautiful, I hope we all have blue skies from here on.

A lady stopped at the Salvation Army the other day and her license plate read "Blue Sky". I asked her if it was The Allman Brothers song and she said no Willie Nelson. It's very relaxing. Good song. Cheers!

Willie's management team and producers did not want him to make this album but, Willie won out and the rest is beautiful history. I know this because Willie talked about this in an interview about his career!!!! I love Willie Nelson and will to my dying day. Thanks for the wonderful memories Willie!!!!!!

Willie is dreamy, this song is dreamy, I love listening to it, singing it and believing it. To all of us Blue Skies!
There's a very special story about why I cry when I hear this. Back when I was 13, my step dad raised miniature horses all his life, and he found a little filly laying in the sand and she couldn't keep up with her mother, she was born with dwarfism. Her legs were splayed and her tounge always hanged out because it was too big for her tiny mouth. She was named Bluesky, because of her blue eyes. I'd sing this song to her a lot. I had a potbellied pig that she bonded with. They were always playing together. After a while, bluesky developed seizures. My mom and I took her to the vet, and we were going to take her to texas a&m for emergency surgery. But, on that day, my mom woke me up, crying. Bluesky had died, and the pig was even trying to wake her up, and wasn't the same ever since. So, that's why the song makes me cry. I'm even choking up as I type this :'(.
RIP Beautiful Bluesky
SailorMonkees92 Awwww 🥰
Dear lord I cried just reading that.
Thanks for sharing such a personal story.
That’s a very special and sad moment in your life, I’m pleased you were able to share some good times with her and remember her with great fondness. Thank you for sharing your memory of her with us. 🥰
A great soul and cool dude... wish we were neighbors.
@Mark Nicholson Stop feeding your cat, and it'll soon hate you, and then fuck off.
It's a great song but there are versions out there which I far prefer to this, Ella's versions for instance. But so what. I did actually quite enjoy this version. i'm away to look up Jim Reeves' version next. Google the song. There's an interesting paragraph or two about it. I never dreamt, for instance, that it had crossed over into the Country world, and would never have known to find this version.
Original song is from Maxine Sullivan ?
Irving Berlin for a Rodgers and Hart stage musical "Betsy" in 1926. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Skies_(Irving_Berlin_song) This gives a wee history of the song and its origins, and some of the many performers.
Mary Jane brought me here.
Willie nelson
When my kids were little I would play this album when I put them to bed. It is so mellow it helped them fall asleep.
Que musica mais linda!!
Man, any song that this genius sings makes me cry. His humanity shines through his voice. A national treasure. No, a global treasure
Abrar Ahmed You're making me cry.
Abrar Ahmed well said
In many ways, Willie Nelson is a lot like Louis Armstrong. No matter what the song is, hearing that voice brings a smile to your face and warms your heart. 💕
a master at work
this song will forever remind me of Robin Williams..
Rakhi Patil why?
He was a powerful man
I played this song for Blue my blue heeler, when he passed away. 40 years later I still miss him. I love you Blue
Bob wagner
I love dogs
Bob wagner Thank you!
I hear you
@Sonia Rosa So do I-as long as they're not vicious.
Many can blame their youth on not appreciating the real stuff....nothing like this today
64 haters didn't see the bluse skies
apparently they cant hear either
Probably Florida Georgia Line fans
Haters gonna hate, the trick is not to notice them :)
I love this song but it's really annoying how these days any time someone doesn't like something they are labeled a "hater".
life is ending
That's how this song was for me too. Played it when things were bad, I eventually got numb enough to notice the blue skies. There was nothing inside to notice anymore. Powerful song at that point. 25 years ago. Came back in better times to reminisce.
You might be interested in knowing that this song was popular in the late 1920s, just before the Wall Street crash when some people literally believed that prosperity had become a permanent thing. You think you know trouble and hard times, you know nothing about it and neither do I.
Great song from a great album nice rendition by Willie
My Dad brought me here. :)
LilJordan same here man
what kind of fuckery is this
My first real job came with having to know and appreciate Willie Nelson. I worked as a senior in High School at an upscale restaurant Christopher's in Beaumont,Tx. and my mentor was Cook Swanson, who I believe lives in Durango, CO now. You taught me well, Michele aka Mozelle
dat solo... 1:20
