I can't see why anyone affected by this song would not go to the Polls in 2020 and re-elect Trump, and bring as many people along with you  While he's not the most likeable guy in many ways, he's about Security and US Jobs .  The trade war which will be painful is in the long run good for us (since we are currently on the loosing end of our trade deals) and our politicians (both sides of the isle) have found it easier to appease the foreign interests rather than take a tough stand.  He's got billions, he doesn't need any more money, he probably doesn't have a ton of friends so he doesn't need to make them rich either.  I think he sees what the media doesn't want to show us, that is the USA paying the tab for everyone internationally and at home with 20 million undocumented immigrants getting social benefits and generally not paying taxes.
