I love this song more each time I hear it I'm one of the ones who had 3 channels usually just one and musically hank just soothes our souls . pain creates the greatest musicians sad but true and GOD turns that pain into the greatest joy I am certain that the reason bocephus music so good bcuz he suffered much all these wanna be posters who try to make it in Nashville or Austin don't have that soul they r not real or genuine they just want attention they have no idea how to create real music the hanks do thx for real American music

Just think about all the Hollywood wimps playing American Heroes. That's what really makes me sick. Especially when real Americans pay them by the millions not knowing what they are truly funding.

Ole Hank has seen hard times, things weren't so easy after falling 500 feet from a mountain top, after so much time taken off for recovery he was nearly forgotten, sales slumped off on his music and things weren't as easy as they once were. After recovery and multiple surgeries he had to scratch, claw, and digg his way back to the top but was only able to do so by defying what all the others were wanting him to be ( his father), when he broke from that tradition and became his own man, playing a different tune was when he started to rise to the top again. Don't ever forget not knowing what goes on behind closed doors and what someone else goes through till you walk in their shoes. Hank may not have been there as long as any of us, but he has been there too.

I don't hear him talking about living paycheck to paycheck in this song, but when he was a kid the inheritance taxes on his dads checks was 70%. that can cut your income a decent amount.

back when katrina hit, he donated 250k before he did anything. when all those tornadoes hit this past year and all the storms in the south... he helped get a concert together... he was born rich yes, but he has made many people rich and has given people jobs along the way. he also spends more money than most people do, so that keeps other people working. sure he might have never been hungry, but hes definitely made positive economic impacts on our country. Thats more than politicians can say.
