Time sure flies! I remembered when Two Dancers came out, it was the shit!, At least for me, it always be my favourite album, followed by Smother and Present Tense, still can't decide between Limbo Panto and Boy King.

Nothing lasts forever, so sad to see them walk separate ways, but life goes on and who knows? maybe we'll have a chance to see WB playing again. Thank you guys!.

Lo hacen anunciando el lanzamiento del EP "Punk Drunk And Trembling", una colección de tres canciones registradas durante las sesiones de grabación de "Boy King" (2016), su último disco hasta la fecha. Ese nuevo disco se pone a la venta hoy en plataformas digitales y a partir del viernes 17 de noviembre en vinilo de 10”.
La banda formada por Hayden Thorpe, Ben Little, Chris Talbot y Tom Fleming se despedirá definitavemente con tres últimas actuaciones en directo los días 15, 16 y 17 de febrero del año que viene en Dublín(Olympia), Manchester (Albert Hall) y Londres (Hammersmith Eventim Apollo), respectivamente. Han anunciado su disolución con un comunicado, en las redes sociales, en el que indican: “Wild Beasts están llegando a su fin. Los cuatro hemos decidido cada uno por sus propios motivos y siguiendo su propio camino, que es el momento de abandonar esta órbita”. Aprovechan para agradecer todo “el amor y energía” que han recibido de sus seguidores y de la gente que ha estado a su lado durante estos 15 años.
Wild Beasts han lanzado cinco álbumes a través de Domino Records. El primero fue "Limbo", "Panto" en 2008, después "Two Dancers" en 2009 –gracias al cual estuvieron nominados al Mercury Prize–, "Smother" en 2011,Present Tense en 2014 y su quinto y último LP, "Boy King", que fue lanzado en agosto de 2016.
Música independiente novedades.

I'm a very new fan. As in I only really began listening to them after they broke up, despite being aware of them for a while, and I don't really see where older fans are coming from saying that Wild Beasts "lost it" or "aren't the same band anymore". I'd agree that they have evolved their sound, but in a good way. Before their sound was quite refined, nuanced and to some extent even neurotic in its delivery and it felt as if they were afraid to be too brash, confident and just out-there. I feel like the most recent album, Boy King, was just WB letting loose. They finally began playing like a rock band; they were confident, cocky and sure of everything they did. The older material was beautifully crafted and sensual, with lots of love and emotion and BK was like a big middle finger to all of that. It was a fuck feelings, as Hayden put it, 'No getting it right, no getting it wrong. Just getting it on'. I think it was the perfect send off because it was basically WB saying "this is the band we wanted to be and we just made what we wanted to make". And that's quite beautiful and poetic in a way.
It's either that or I've totally over analysed it and they did just sell out in a last ditch attempt to get big. But I prefer the former interpretation

Tim Senna ... I think the similarities end at the song title. Limbo Panto and Two Dancers were epic masterpiece's. All of their music since, has not been epic. I do somewhat enjoy listening their new stuff, but how or why could they forego such greatness to sound.... like anyone else?.. Missing from their new music is that intensity, that urgency, that youthful rebellion. The wordplay in every lyric. The storytelling.. Why ditch incredible drums for what easily could be drum loops? Soaring guitars for trendy synths and samples? Dramatic vocals ranges, with humanity in every breath, for perfected cleaned and corrected vocals? I just don't get it.

There is a degree to which they changed but certainly listening to to 'A Simple Beautiful Truth' and 'Mecca' I think that magic is still there. The newest album has a different, more grown up and swaggery feel to it but again you have lyrics like 'Do I dare to disturb the universe, lest I become he the colossus?' which metrically are beautiful. Compare that to 'When I'm Sleepy' which is one of my less favourite songs by them and it's not as simple as a straight decline

Thank you for being my favorite band since Limbo Panto came out. Enjoined following you on you musical journey. Such an innovative and mature band. It's been a wild ride.
