Yep this is the best song for me so far. This album is everything Wilco. Not too low. Not too high. The background effects going on here are too many to figure out which is great.

Glenn played a special instrument on the drums in this song instead of sticks to get that sound. Talked about it in the recent interview with Uncut Magazine that came with the Wilco cover album.

Amazing.

I am a huge Wilco fan, and this new album is so discordant I have to struggle to listen to it. The music does not support the lyrics. There are no melodies or harmonies. The choruses are unremarkable and unsingable. It's just fucking noise without the contrast to the melody.

Loving the new record! I bought tickets to 2nd Boston show today. Cant wait!

What do u guys think this tune is about? I want to say depression, but that seems too simple for Wilco. Beautiful, none the less.

It's about Jeff trying to be like someone that he looks up to. Or someone he wants to be like. I dont see depression in this at all. I think he has put his depression in the past for the most part.

When asked the question, the artist will usually say it's about whatever it seems to you or something to that effect. But I agree, it looks like Jeff looking up to a musical artist he admires or once admired/looked up to. My question is who could it be? A part of me wants to consider Jay Farrar...
