Jonatan Jimenez ja_ i attended one of his concerts and he mentioned that for certain songs he tunes the strings down a half step or has different strings tuned to a different note!

He just tuned down a whole step in this song.

He probably has some compression on it and that's about it. Maybe some subtle reverb from the sound technicians.
