Yeah, it's good but puny. I wish the Who had persisted with this and finished the recording session with a tighter version. They were onto something. i love this version bur somewhere between the two and I'll be jetting like a wolf! I think if they'd recorded it in '67/68 it would have been even better.
Listen to the live Who version from French Tv in 66. Crushes this and the original. They are too restrained here.
