Whitechapel - Ear To Ear Lyrics

Screeching mephitic sacrilege. Manifesting
Raping your incoherent mind from afar
Holding your stiff hand below my waist I will begin to ravish you
Symbolic pride against your skin marking eternal branding
Pulling out the tools the operation beings
Melting the skin to climax again
Fornicated whore of the past-tense
Shall experience articula mortis
How innocent this scheme of murder
How I redeem my prize of faith and infamy is not your place
I shall remember this for I live again
Necromaniac pursuing dreams of liquid suffocation
Your neck is smiling at me ear to fucking ear
The trachea exposed. Pulsing hemoglobin entities at me
Your neck is smiling ear to fucking ear
The gurgling of gore. The sound of splitting
Hide. The grinding of the bones
Ear to fucking ear
The verdict isn't met until you're dead
Ear to fucking ear

1:25 One of the greatest Whitechapel breakdowns. That tempo change mid-way through it is fucking insane.

    I.... ....

one of the greatest breakdowns. fills me with rage every time

    I.... ....

The vicer exciser one is the best

  20. T.... K....

I love the deep vocals that this band has. Chelsea Grin has the overall sound im trying to get to, but this band has helps me with my growls and deep vocals

  21. D.... G....

Man, back when deathcore and post hardcore were really something.

    D.... G....

deathcore is washed up trash now. back in the day it used to be mean as fuck.

    D.... G....

Mercapta yea but then we have the new suicide silence... I think all the great names that stand for deathcore are getting washed slowly

    D.... G....

all about that underground local black metal these days

    D.... G....

black metal is way better than it used to be MGLA is slaying it same as batushka

    D.... G....

@Gilbert Kozanowski deathcore is just djent with a heavier production, just compare anything from Chelsea Grin with bands like Despised Icon or early The Acacia Strain, the difference is big

  22. F.... ....

Jack Kearns! Yay! By far the best character in The Monstrumologist series. (Good job on the lyrics. I loved this song about a year ago, but I've been losing my interest with Metal lately. Hopefully I start liking it as much as I did then soon... But this is still a good song.)

  23. R.... T....

Absolutely love this album... Unfourtanetly it's the only album by Whitechapel I like :/

    R.... T....

+Robert Tegnér Andersson This Is Exile is lovely too and A New Era Of Corrpution ocasionally.

    R.... T....

+Adrian their self titled album I think good

  24. L.... K....

    Loving this :)

  25. T.... W....

    wonderful

  26. M.... C....

I guess every artist band anything changes. But when change is backed by popular demand its annoying. But I'm sure there was some old godsmack and kill switch fans that when this song came out hated it and talked about how metal has turned to shit. It really bowls down to what touch's you musically. I mean the more low tune and more heavy the better. To me anyway.

  27. T.... ....

    MAgical :)!

  28. K.... G....

    its ear to heart <3

  29. J.... B....

This album has the most brutal vocals lyrically and literally. When I found them a few years ago I thought I could find something worse while keeping the same level of musicality. I was wrong this album is ridiculously amazing.

    J.... B....

@Jay Bergs thy art is murder and black dahlia murder is brutal

    J.... B....

@Jay Bergs Yeah, Thy Art Is Murder's new album has some intense lyrics

    J.... B....

@Gha5ty7 Ingested, Cerebral Bore and Annotations of an autopsy are also great bands with brutal lyrics

    J.... B....

Slam metal. Just gonna say that.

    J.... B....

@Nerelic Official grindcore and brutal death too

  30. K.... C....

    f.... ....

    Thank you!

  32. d.... ....

Am I the only one to find this song pretty melodic? Wasn't expecting that from a song fromt the first album, considering the lyrics

    d.... ....

the first 17 seconds sounded like opeth

  33. M.... ....

    The demo was better

    M.... ....

    P.... R....

Larry Beaver More like when they became well known

    P.... R....

They never did, it's just that the little vagina scene kids want to seem intelligent by claiming that they know "sub-genre" from "sub-genre" and believe every swinging dick out there should only like the bands that they like. Don't buy into it... Whitechapel fucking slays and you fucking know it bruh

  45. C.... B....

they talk about rape cause they're songs are about brutality. Rape is pretty fucking brutal...

    C.... B....

they talk about rape because this album is about jack the ripper hence the band name whitechapel the town where jack the ripper burried the bodies

    C.... B....

@Frank Papa I think i love this band even more now xD

  46. J.... R....

    This album fucking slays

  47. E.... W....

this album is dark and twisted and fucking heavy as shit! Too bad they don't sound as raw these days.. but I guess the main goal is to progress

  48. T.... B....

I know rape is wrong but I love how they put it in their songs 4 gore aspect.

    T.... B....

this album is literally based off of jack the ripper. hence the name whitechapel. It's not like they enjoy rape. It's a concept album

    T.... B....

This whole album is about Jack the Ripper..

  49. b.... t....

best band out there  cant stray away from this sick absolutely epic disaster of a band called white put a cpw in peeople slit their throats and kill chapel :)

  50. a.... f....

  51. T.... Z....

kind of freaks me out how they seem to mention ''Rape'' in every song... o__o

    T.... Z....

@***** not if no one cares about your knowledge

    T.... Z....

this is the only album like this. this is exile, a new era of corruption, and the title album are all about this brutal but lack the disgusting and descriptive lyrics

    T.... Z....

A lot of their songs from this album is based of journals of serial killers

    T.... Z....

PLEASE TELL ME YOU ARE BEING SARCASTIC

    T.... Z....

Its death metal...I dont think I need to say anymore..listen to some other bands in the genre especially from the 90s and you will begin to notice some recurring themes

    M.... ....

    M.... ....

    I didn't get an ad :(

  53. L.... D....

I love this as a concept album:) The stories of the 1888 Whitechapel murders have always interested me.

  54. E.... T....

No problem man, Fleshgod's newer album was very good in my opinion.
I've mainly enjoyed bands like Between the Buried and Me, Obscura and Origin lately.

  55. Y.... ....

Agreed. Maybe I'm not so much into Korn lately, but they got something sympathetic about them.
Ol' good Progressive and Technical... How long it was, when I last time listened to a band like Heretoir or Fleshgod Apocalypse? Very long. Thanks for bringing back the memories.

  56. E.... T....

Exactly, this is why I still hold an affection for the band Korn, because of the mixing of styles they had when they came out they had such a fresh sound that nobody had done before.
I still like them to this day.

I am also very fond of Black Metal but I hold a main love for Progressive Death/Black and Technical Death Metal. Melodic Death is also quite a favourite.

  57. Y.... ....

To be honest - I listened to every type of music in my youth. I still like to listen to Led Zeppelin or ZZ Top. But one of my favorites - Michael Jean Jarre. He just got something about him. I'm still a big fan of classical music. That's also why I'm into Black Metal and it's symphonic subgenres.
I also see no point. Mixing styles is what brings up great music. And making a band look bad, just because of the genre, is childish.

  58. E.... T....

I grew up on electronic music, then went to orchestral, and then found metal to be my favourite genre.
I just listen to everything as a result of a varied musical upbringing and see no reason to condemn a genre, regardless of how much sewage is in the tank.

  59. Y.... ....

Yeah, it is. That also makes music.
Ah, that's the thing I forgot. Maybe I hinted it, or directly said it in my prvious comments. I forgot about children, that we were ourselves.
Maybe it's just me, who listened to metal all his life. However - I listen to rap, to other kinds of music, especially classical. Kids nowadays don't go with it.
    But life goes on, eh?
    Funny thing.

  60. Y.... ....

It is the same with that topic we hear in the video above. It is a fact. Phil shows us trough the lyrics the probable thruth. And its very sensitive in the lyrics. Every bit of the 'story' is detailed. I don't see that seriousness, or at least minuteness in telling it, in rap. Two different worlds, but the same topic, and the image is very radical.
    But it is... Personally.

  61. Y.... ....

That would make big sense... Very big...
So, we like to play COD (or BF, if you want to be a fanboy). It's fun. We like to talk about it, we post everything on the Net about it. We are fascinated with it.
Then we have real war. World War II, let's say. That's not so fascinating now. That's horrible for most of the people.
Point is - the subject is general is both. Does it mean, that if we justify a game about it jsut being for fun, we are hypocrites?
The comparison is banal, but graphic.

  62. Y.... ....

Yeah, true. I like to listen to Whitechapel when I go to sleep. It's just to throw away any other thoughts. But most of the time I listen to any song, I just tend to feel it.

  63. Y.... ....

It doesn't change anything. You just are vulgar and of a simple mind. Not your fault, just the education system.
Wow, that was so... Deep... Nah, I'm kidding. Music is an art. We use to look for any hidden meaning in paintings, or just any meaning in them, as they have a story in every part of them. It is equal to music. A song is made of something, for something. It has a meaning. And if it is shallow... A shallow mind will understand. But yeah, the rythm is everything nowadays.

  64. Y.... ....

I like those. But I wouldn't use that one here. Sure, it's fun...
Yeah, it goes on, but some people can't get over it.

  65. E.... T....

Ah well, the mindless meanderings of madmen may mar mindful minds or make meaning of the meaningless compositions married to misdirection or misunderstanding in the minds of many.
    Life goes on, eh?

  66. E.... T....

-cont- All that proves is that we fans of music have very strange opinions when it comes down to genres we may dislike for whatever reason.
I am one for agreeing a lot of rap is purulent, puerile even, but that's kinda the point in the latter case. Children don't listen to psychological detail and psychotic sexual malpractice with interest, they listen to tales of pub crawls and getting high with interest.

  67. E.... T....

See, all I saw was somebody posting something I considered to be quite ignorant.
Whilst you may have disagreed, my point was that the person mentioning sex and violence like it was a bad thing in part of rap whilst on a video with a grim subject matter (albeit intensely absorbing and interesting) revolving around sex and violence was pretty hypocritical.
Personally I don't think that attempting to justify the fact it has a story behind it makes it any better. -cont-

  68. E.... T....

I apologize for my vulgarity as I haven't exactly been myself of late, but here's the thing.
Music isn't a playground of who can be the "deepest" or most detailed, it's just who can make music that people enjoy, and both metal and rap are filled with those who enjoy that avenue of music. It's evident.
But, true enough, not everybody who is sucking from the teats of musicality is looking for deepness of topic or perceiving it with any sort of depth, they just like a good time.

  69. Y.... ....

Again - I didn't miss anything. It's just my perspective, different than yours. If you can't get that, then you can't get the conversation. Basically - it'll end up with no point, at all. And that's almostly happening.
Still, I have fun, how about you?

  70. Y.... ....

I didn't miss anything. I analyzed every line. Maybe it's the coffee in my blood, but I'm sensitive now.
I know, that's why you're here, after all.
And I still think of the point of view. The perspective of the kind of music they're playing. Rap isn't going so deep in any topic. Here, on the other hand, we see every detail filled up with a little 'story'. I think it's our sensivity for different things. I don't mind the common topic, if it's treated the right way, what you don't see in rap.

  71. Y.... ....

So, there's no point, after all.

  72. E.... T....

I'm not going to repeat myself since you've missed the point I've made about 50 times already.

  73. E.... T....

I know what the point was, of both the album and the bands name.
But I don't understand why you seem to miss my point.
I am /not/ criticizing the band "Whitechapel" at all, I greatly enjoy them and The Somatic Defilement is one of my favourite albums, and my favourite album by them. I am criticizing the person who brought up "violence and sex" as something of note that is bad on the topic of rap, while on a video of a band that has lyrics that feature that as well.
    It's pretty simple.

  74. E.... T....

You continually seem to forget that I know the concept behind the album and the bands name.

  75. Y.... ....

And I almostly forgot - that was the point of the album. If that's hard for you to figure out (along with the meaning behind the name 'Whitechapel'), then you just need to grow up a bit.
You know, trying to understand the psyche of a serial killer, making up a story told trough music... That's something. Everything lies in the idea and meaning, and nothing, literally nothing, like any comparison on a level of just the linking in the topic, which is minor, will change a thing in its genius.

  76. Y.... ....

And no, I don't think so. You just can't get over it... Additionally - you are vulgar and, well, butthurt. Hey, chill out.

  77. Y.... ....

That doesn't change a thing. You just tack around, between nonsense and absurd.
Hey, I bet that it's difficult to figure out, why the band is named 'Whitechapel'.
You know, there's the thing about rap, that most of the lines are just 'something' to take up lyrical space. Violence and sex is glorified there, or just made for nothing, but a false image of a song's meaning.
Yeah, I'm sure the concept is nothing, meanwhile just the songs are the thing. Wow, that's a paradox.

  78. Y.... ....

Nope, it's just you and your lack of the ability to get any quasi-philosophical concept of a sentence made up by a John Doe on the Net. That would mean that you are the idiot, and you just can't conversate with anyone, who would have different opinions than you and you can't demean them, or just prove that person wrong. I'd call you just a 'casual butthurt dude'. Dysfunctions, dysfunctions...
    And that's saying a lot.

  79. E.... T....

Sorry, the concepts of violence and sex*
    my mistake

  80. E.... T....

You are the biggest fucking idiot I've ever seen on here.
    And that's saying a lot.

  81. Y.... ....

    Wow, what nonsense.
C'mon, don't be a bitch. You know that it was a concept album, so it tells a concrete story. It's not retarded (say that word ten more times, maybe I will react... Maybe), it's made up on a purpose. Hey, we can safely say, with your logic, that all the horror movies are 'retarded'. Why? Ghosts, demons, killers, etc.
    Absurd.
And what is it about then, if not about death of another black 'G', crime, hunger, poverty, money, bitches, drugs and sex?
    Opinion? Maybe. For both sides

  82. Y.... ....

I'm more of the righteous type of person, and go along with 'fight fire with fire' method (more accurately - Hammuraby's 'eye for an eye' method).
    And why not?
I don't think it is, as many people generalize the kind of music they don't understand (yup, I have metal in mind). They also generalize people. It's normal.
And he used the same method, just with some more ignorance and humor.
I believe we all know, that rap has no meaning nowadays, but only for the kids, who want to be 'G and cool'.

  83. E.... T....

Regardless of whether or not the original comment that started this little shit-fight train was ignorant (which while subjective, calling it "gay" and "demented pig orgy sounding shit" was indeed ignorant) it is not within anybodies rights to instantly become equally ignorant and start insulting whatever you think they listen to.
Also attributing an ignorant attitude to rap is really fucking stupid, generalizing somebody into a group like that is literally fucking retarded, don't fucking do it.

  84. E.... T....

You realize I fucking know that but what I was saying was that mentioning "sex and violence" as a bad thing in rap on a song primarily about sex and violence REGARDLESS of whether or not it's written from a (serial killer, you know, generally seen as bad people, though I love Jack the Ripper) characters point of view, is still fucking retarded.
You're calling me hypocritical for saying that not ALL rap is what that guy said it was? That's... also fucking retarded.

  85. E.... T....

There's a thing called subjectivity you fucking moron.

I listen to every kind of music, the genre your referring to above isn't entirely comprised of "ghetto; militant; black supremacist; violence, drug, and sex with 20 people promoting; talentless, garbage gangsta rap music" only somebody at the height of ignorance would say that.
Also you mentioning "violence and sex" as a bad thing in rap on a WHITECHAPEL SONG is borderline fucking retarded.

  86. T.... C....

it uses the same technique that opera singers use and it's based on a greek singing style. you be the judge. also, it doesn't use vocal cords as much as diaphragm (hence opera) .

  87. J.... L....

So please explain to me why you are listening to it..

  88. M.... ....

That breakdown is too brutal. I love it!

  89. E.... C....

youd be surprised. they have to train hard to do this on a day to day basis without hurting themselves. it takes as much talent as going out and singing. I should know, I do both.

  90. S.... J....

As if screaming into a mic takes talent.... Okay.

  91. e.... ....

i'm just gonna say that i love this song and whitechapel is fucking awesome in my opinion and haters can all just fuck off.

  92. M.... !....

what an ignorant comment you just made, in response to another ignorant comment.

  93. P.... ....

I would cut your throat if I knew who you were c:

  94. D.... R....

Are you guys new to the internet? No one gives a fuck what you think.

  95. j.... m....

pig orgy yes, demented perhaps, but shit? no fucking way

  96. O.... I....

Hilarious that people think their opinion will change or affect anyone. U R MAD BRO if you think otherwise. what a pisser
