Probably my favourite White Lies song and off in my opinion their best album Ritual.

If I were to do a 'Baby Driver'-esque fight scene, this is the song I'd use.

It'd have a lot of punch-parrying, stalking, acrobatics and electrics.
In my mind's eye I've got Black Widow teaching Shadow Stalker from Worm some manners in the dojo.

First couplet, circling and measuring up.
Refrain: Spar!
Second couplet: Shadow Stalker nopes out and runs through a wall, Romanov casually strides after her, does Breaking Lecture, it's super effective.
Second Refrain: SS tries again, and her phasing almost gets her the upper hand, but then Black Widow turns on the stun batons. Instant KO.
The music goes mad and starts layering on top of itself: Endbringer Interrupt! Outrun the water! :P

Woweeeee fantastic. The Editors meets The Teardrop Explodes what a tremendous sound and sonorous voice. I only found out about this band by watching the Iranian film "A girl walks home alone at night". The video also has a "Life of Brian" kind of irreverent smack in the face of Christianity to it.

I like them a lot, but the way their tracks are produced is one of the worst examples of compressed to death / loudness war I could think off. It's a pity.

I just thought the exact opposite. I haven't watched many of them yet, but they're quite refreshing, almost, in comparison with other bands'/singers' videos.

Honestly, i don't know what you're talking about, i feel they are one of the bends with the best videos in the past ten years.

I love the fact that everybody thinks this video is 'shit' and it really pisses everyone off because, that was what White Lies wanted. They wanted something that would make people think. Something that would make people angry, because they cant get their heads round it. Jack even said that he loved looking through the comments to see how pissed off everyone was, he thinks it is a way of knowing you have made a good video then. People act as if the hate it, but would they really bother with a comment if they did hate it that much? It is a good way of playing with people's minds. I love the way there is a hidden message in this video, therefore i love it! And tbt, i think that it is sad if you cannot appreciate this video for its simplicity and meaning, not every music video can be filled with fake asses, big tits, drugs and sex. Which this generation seems to be hooked on, fair enough there is a sexual scene in this, but it actually symbolises something! It is just free porn to get more attention, or more pervs to look at. #WhiteLiesForever

I think it is about a guy who wants the girls love but she gives herself away to other guys. It is probably abstract shots of "beauty" the divers describe beautiful motion relating to her sex motion. The fighting about all the guys who fight to have her and the preaching about him not wanting to be religious about the situation, he just wants her, (I'm not looking for holy ghost) the ending shots just symbolize beauty in nature and thinking about his decisions... could be way off. idk.
