White Denim - It's Him! Lyrics

Well then you've got it all now
And we hardly blinked our eyes
And it's all making such sense now
It won't need to tell us why

You came here in the first place
And it's nothing like what you thought it'd be
You can have it any way that you might want it

And you'll see

Think of it in the mob's hands
And think of it in the park
Try not to get your mind wandering
Around it in the dark
You can think of it a little
You can think of it a lot

We'll see

It's him
And it's been
So long
Can't wait to get home
And then what now?
Look at you
You crooked loose
You talk through
What you think is gonna happen next time
You look slim
For being where you've been
But then again
But then again
It's been so high
High

I love these guys but they lost their proggy edge when Austin Jenkins left the band. Now they are just another band.

    K.... W....

Their drummer was something special too...

    K.... W....

    No doubt.

It gets love in CA! If you ever get the chance to seem them at a small intimate venue, DO IT!!!

    M.... T....

CA as in California, or Canada? Because I saw them at a small, intimate venue in Montreal some years back, and there were like 6 people in attendance. :( They still rocked, of course.

    M.... T....

I saw them in a clothing store once. It was packed to the brim but i was up front and it was an amazing experience.

  3. J.... D....

A highly overlooked and a truly great band White Denim is.

  4. T.... d....

    Sounds just like Dan Auerbach

    T.... d....

+Tyler de Ford exactly what i thought the first time i heard white denim

  5. R.... G....

Jason Bentley & KCRW brought me here! Love that pychedelic 60's sound that astounds & abounds across the town...

  6. s.... ....

D is wonderful from beginning to end. How I missed this in 2011 is beyond me, but I'm in love dude!

  7. T.... D....

If you combined the black keys with radiohead this is what you get

  8. K.... J....

How is this band not huge on the rock scene? The complexity and creativity will make this album a favourite of mine for years to come... I can't comprehend how anyone that enjoys good rock, conventional or not, can't appreciate these guys?

  9. J.... ....

This is really hard to learn

  10. B.... R....

They really were. Bonnaroo posted quite a few of their live songs on their youtube.

  11. E.... B....

God I really wanted to see them at Bonnaroo this year. Bet they're awesome live.

  12. J.... ....

I just saw them here in Lawrence on Thursday! Best fucking show I have ever been to. I was shocked, I wasn't expecting to be blown away like that. And I'm a White Denim fan!

Thank Jebus there are bands like this out there. I remember predicting back in the grungey 90's that music would get back to this kind of stuff, but no one believed me.

  14. w.... ....

Seeing them open for Wilco tonight! What a great bonus.

  15. P.... ....

@PinkBass77 I can't stop playing it just to hear that riff!

  16. k.... ....

    @PinkBass77
Listen to: "St. Stephen" by The Grateful Dead. See just how similar it is. I love to hear musical influence and I wonder if this may be one of those times or an entirely separate organic coincidence... music is my crack...

  17. v.... ....

GREAT ! Quality music for once !!

  18. t.... ....

Very cool RETRO sound. Like late sixties Haight Ashbury, San Fran sound. Good playing and interesting time changes I.e. 7/4, 3/4 sections. I liked it, it's different.

  19. G.... ....

When are these guys coming down under?

  20. X.... R....

Heard this in PacSun today haha

  21. m.... ....

@PinkBass77 No doubt! That's the part that hooked me!

  22. A.... J....

Going to them in October at the concert Manchester Orchestra is headlining. Excited!

  23. O.... ....

These guys are great, and this is an awesome album. I was fortunate to see them perform in Lawrence, Kansas, last month. I am buying their albums on CD and sending to friends specifically because they are sort of undiscovered/under appreciated.

  24. D.... D....

Thanks for putting this up bro, truly an incredible band!
