Totally thought he was saying "the day the carnies came to town". I've went years thinking this song was about a plague of murderous carnival folk... I kinda liked it better that way.

This song is amazing live, even better than this studio recording. Amazing drummer and his voice resonates to your core. I will be a lifelong fan. This album has not one bad song, people go crazy live for WB. Hope they have a show in so cal soon. :)

I read ....a lot. This song "Carnage" goes so well, as do many White Buffalo songs, with books by Canadian author John Connolly. His character Charlie Parker has many rather supernatural characters in his life. For example, he sees his dead wife and child often in the first few Charlie Parker novels. As the series goes further, I really began to put Jake Smith's music as my music of choice. Love love live this man and his music as well as Mr. Connolly and his books.
