you know that cone shaped asian rice paddy style hats work way better at keeping the sun off you than that style of cowboy hat. i don't get it, do people wear that style of cowboy hat to fit in, be accepted, be cool and hip with that style? it sure as hell isn't because of tradition or identity. why in the hell would someone flap the edges up like that on cowboy hats? is it supposed to be just an esthetic for looks? i don't get it, i thought cowboys were suppose to be rough and tough, living useful simplistic lives, it seems like the cowboy scene that you see threw media and entertainment is no different than the runway drag queen model scene.
