Weird Al Yankovic - Alimony Lyrics
Here she comes now, wants her alimony
Bleedin' me dry as a bony bony
Workin' three jobs just to stay in debt now
Well, first she took my nest egg then she took the nest
I said yeah (yeah), yeah (yeah), yeah (yeah), yeah (yeah), yeah (yeah)
(Yeah) 'Cause she took my house (alimony), my car (alimony)
My shoes (alimony) and my toothbrush too (alimony)
Too bad (alimony), so sad (alimony)
Ah-she got (alimony), got the gift of grab (alimony)
I'm in debt (debt), debt (debt), debt (debt), debt (debt), debt (debt), debt (debt)
Lawyer's callin' me on the telephony
Tryin' to squeeze some blood from a stonee-stony
Ooh, I took her for better or for worse, yeah
Then she took me for everything, yeah everything
She could get (get), get (get), get (get), get (get), get (get)
(Get) Well I'm out of cash (alimony), no dough (alimony)
I'm broke (alimony), it's no joke (alimony)
The check's in the mail (alimony), get off (alimony)
My back (alimony), cut me some slack (alimony)
I said yeah (yeah), yeah (yeah), yeah (yeah), yeah (yeah), yeah (yeah), yeah (yeah)
(Ooh, I want my alimo-mo-mony) Oh you do
(Ooh, I want my alimo-mo-mony) Is it due
(Ooh, I want my alimo-mo-mony) Or you'll sue
(Ooh, I want my alimo-mo-mony)
Alimony (yeah), mony (yeah)
Yeah (yeah), yeah (yeah), yeah (yeah), yeah (yeah)
Wow
(cash register "ching")
(Alimony, alimony, alimony) I said (alimony)
Come on, come on, come on
Alimony, alimony, alimony
Bleed me dry (alimony)
I said no (no), oh no (no)
No (no), no (no), no (no), no (no), no (no)
Bleedin' me dry as a bony bony
Workin' three jobs just to stay in debt now
Well, first she took my nest egg then she took the nest
I said yeah (yeah), yeah (yeah), yeah (yeah), yeah (yeah), yeah (yeah)
(Yeah) 'Cause she took my house (alimony), my car (alimony)

This song will NEVER cease to be sad and funny at the same time! Long may Weird Al reign. :-D

Yeah, that's crazy. I have like 30 favorite Weird Al songs and this is one of them. Genius
2:45-2:47 How did they create the same ray-gun sound Steve Stevens used? I read that he used an actual toy gun. But what did they do in this song?
9000 anyone?
1765 here
Oh, same
The beginning reminds me of "The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived" by Weezer
Actually, I find the parody being about owing alimony to an ex-wife to be completely apt. There was a chant people would make in between the lines of "mony mony" when it was new and popular that was "hey! say what! Get laid, get f**ked!". This parody is the natural result of such a freewheeling sexual strategy. I used to be in a bar band with some boomers and people would chant this every time we played it.
I imagine weird al performing in rags and bread bags
Gotta show this to my divorced parents

Weird Al takes my alimony every time i buy his merchandise or see him in concert...AND I DON'T MIND!!!
Are ex-wives less capable than young adults moving out of their parents house? Young adults that move out depended on their parents from the time they were born until the time they moved out. I'm unaware of any laws that require parents to make some kind of support payments to their young adult children when they decide to move out or when their parents kick them out. 🤔
My fave song
One of the greatest albums of all time!
Weird Al Yankovic Countdowns AND MORE this is probably my favorite but so hard to choose.
