This song proves that Weezer could have been a skate punk band. This song is extremely good, maybe my favorite Weezer B-Side

I just think of it as a skate song just because of the music, and it makes me want to skate board right now, but hey, it's only my opinion

It's not though, skate punk is a term that's used to define a specific sound. Just because you want to re-appropriate it doesn't mean you can.
