I like it. Never cared for Weezer or they never grew on me. Thought Back to the Shack was catchy but just okay when it was on the alt station. King of the World was pretty boring.

Best album they ever made. Just because Blue and Pinkerton were released in the 90s doesn't mean you HAVE to rank them highest by default.

We don't think blue and pinkerton are the best because they are their 1st ones, we think they're good because they're good, I get why you think this one is better, because this one is much different than their originals

Say It Aint So is shockingly good, from the very first note youre hooked. it's not a default.

They'll never top The Green Album.  But this pretty good.

I reckon this tops Green album. Green was alright, but Blue, pinkerton, maladroit, EWBAITE and White all top it imo.

Scott Zaccagnini Green was pretty meh. Nothing from that album really stuck out to me. That and a lot of the songs sound the same.

got nobody- guitar sounds of red/make believe

2.      Back
to the shack- Just a song to voice mistakes and strive to return to
form:
simple songs with good beats and good lyrics (the song itself doesn’t
encompass
all of that, just a nostalgia song)

3.      Eulogy
for a Rock Band- A sort of rock anthem the intro dissidence of the
guitars is brutal like pinkerton openings , like something from a darker
red album. One of my favorites on this album.

4.      Lonely
Girl- Straight out of the green album, meant to have good guitars,
simple
lyrics, catchy

5.      I’ve
had it up to here- Something fresh, like a maladroit/dtfm song. Bit of
Pinkerton keyboards at the end

6.      The
British are Coming- Another fresh, upbeat, song, with roaring guitars,
fits
with the kind of instrument-heavy concept album.

7.      Da
Vinci- Lyrically, and possibly musically too, one of my favorites on
this album.
Kid-like tones of pinkerton on the verses, then straight into that
crunchy
guitar we love.

8.      Go
Away- Lyrically very meh… but it is nice to hear a duet with a female
like back
on “threw out the love of my dreams”

9.      Cleopatra-
Wished the harmonica had a little more influence on the song, but again
the
guitar influence on this song is what is focused on, it seems, still a solid song.

10.  Foolish
Father- I would say the best song on the album, reminiscent of the early
weezer
days, but with a encouraging ending

11.  Wasteland-
Guitar rocking skills are still great

12.  Anonymous-
Some unsuspected passion backing this one. Fast beat part with the
“heys”
pisses me off a bit, but man Rivers saying “my anonymous” and Rivers
unleashing
on the guitar at the end is pretty fun.

13.  Return
to Ithaka- Again, guitar-fest on this song, and I like it quite a lot.

@ЯAJ I could understand why someone likes Hurley, but I felt like it was rushed and most of the songs had little to no connection for me. I do like it more than Raditude, but I only dislike Raditude for the fact that "I Can't Stop Partying" exists because of it, otherwise Hurley would be in last place.

Who else thinks weezer could have their own rock band game? Like Beatles Rock Band? This would be a great song for it too.

What is your favorite song from this album?

Honestly, I've always liked Weezer, but they were never a band I cared too much for. I never got the love for the Blue album or Pinkerton. While they had some great and memorable songs, they never stuck with me. I spent some time with the Green album when it came out, and at the time I think I liked it a lot, but then it just drifted away for me. Again, there were songs that stuck with me, but never the whole album. Last year I saw them at a festival (they weren't my main draw even,) but I was absolutely blown away! I wasn't sure what to expect not really having been a fan for years, but I couldn't believe how impressed I was! Then I saw that this was up for preorder, and I thought sure, I'll check it out. I think listened to one song, and I decided on a whim I'd get the album. and I started reading reviews as they came up, becoming more hopeful and optimistic about my choice, as at the time, much like when I saw them live, I didn't quite know what to expect. Then I got my download link! I was absolutely blown away again!  Is it a perfect album? Maybe, maybe not. Is there such a thing? Who knows! All I know is I'm totally in love, and I can't stop listening to this album, and IMO it's even better than the classic duo. Bravo Weezer. Bravo! <3
